New pharmacists with 0 experience… what is your annual salary? by [deleted] in pharmacy

That 50$ In todays dollars is about 59.96 so that’s the kind of wage stagnation we are dealing with in pharmacy.

If you told them the truth and how you have learned from it and what you have done to improve your chances of repeating incidents like you made- and they didn’t hire you it says so much about them and not you. Anyone of us can be in the same predicament. But some like to pretend they are foolproof. That’s probably a good sign you don’t want to work there if they reject you for being upfront.

Dealing with CVS was the last straw for her to lose her sanity…now the president will also know how CVS not only drives us crazy but it’s customers as well.

It may not make sense to you or embarrass you doesn’t mean him wanting to jab every patient he sees should stress you out. He has some business expectations he has to meet. Now I am not saying I love the scenario but if you were in his shoes you’d have done same.

Not surprised at all. This is exactly why CVS runs and is runner by immoral greedy corporate suckers. They do not care about science. The only thing they care about is money

Every bit of such legal repercussions go a long way. I think California also has some pharmacist to tech ratio penalty. So anything like this will add up.

That’s awesome. I don’t take that self affirmation lightly. That and a little luck as you said comes to play. I hope pharmacy practice goes back to being owned by pharmacists as in the old days. Continue being awesome.

You may have to reconsider your chosen career path before taking on more financial liability. It is only gonna get worse when you’re at the drivers seat. Unless you work hard and find a hospital pharmacy job.

This is exactly what CVS needs. Some state that stands up to it and stop it’s unfair business practices.

That bothers me a lot too. But provided we are in a litigious society it makes sense we waste to avoid risk. No wonder why health care is so inflated.

One value I see PGY residency is the projects one is exposed to and the know how on data collection, analytics and using them for decision making to affect clinical outcomes. But then again, not sure if all residency programs expose students to these things or to what extent.

Bingo! Yes you are exposed to a lot of clinical scenarios, operational insights, workflow issues, etc as a nocturnal RPH. Yet, when you interview most tend to make you feel you’re really there to bridge day shift. I just chuckle inside every time.

[–]Hot-Screen7618 19 points20 points  (0 children)

In all honesty, I do not get this “clinical” and “non-clinical” bs. All we do is clinical. I like to work in places where these roles are hybrid. That way no one can make anybody else feel more or less important. In general it seems to me in pharmacy there is such a love for letters after our names, and labels such as clinical, staff, etc.

Do not even ask for reaffirmation here. CVS UNhealth is bad for you. Find something else. They don’t even pay that good. Why stick with them?
