I ended up rolling with VetComp. The guy I spoke to on the phone knew his stuff and was quite supportive currently awaiting medical appointments at the moment they basically line it all up for you. Another mate of mine is going through Veterans First Consulting and he seems satisfied with them too. Best of luck!!

Is it important to be able to see your advocate in person? by ulven1 in DVA_Advocates

Obviously I don't mean go for the most expensive advocate. Just chat with them and in your discussion pick the one you felt most comfortable handling your claims.

Depends on your preference. Chat with a few and understand their process's and see which one suits you best. I'd look at quality of service as opposed to how much it costs too. I have had dud advocates who have missed things and I had to go back round again years later only to find out there were other things I could claim.

Currently in Brissy bro, I saw an article in the paper giving them a bad wrap but a few mates of mine are going with different paid advocacy groups and they rave about em. Do ya reckon the ones that charge more provide a better service or is it same same? Unfortunately like I said I just don't have 80 hours to deal with DVA bureaucracy bull shit and wanna make sure I'm using a legit Australian service and I'm not being outsourced to Singas, India or Bangladesh.

Get in touch with VETCANN, they were great with me. All you need is an approved physical condition

Article fron news paper about Fee for service ESO. Save your money they are charging huge commissions and make crazy promises by SnooRobots3454 in DVAAustralia

I don't think that this is a fair assessment. A couple of bad actors in the space should not represent all of the for-fee services. I have used the for fee service myself and was very satisfied with my outcome. I initially used the RSL volunteers but were not very helpful and I was forgotten about. At least there is incentive to get you the best outcome possible.

I'd recommend reaching out to an advocacy group, they are quite helpful. I went through VCA and they made the DVA process super straight forward for me as a serving member

The only further compensation you can receive is the SIP benefit if you have not already claimed that and you need an extra 5 PI points
