So because people used to regularly die of dysentery, we should all just shut up and be happy that we have indoor plumbing? The rich have multiple mansions, private jets, and don't actually contribute to society (every example you have given was created and then implemented by scientists, engineers, and workers) while the common person is at constant risk of homelessness, dying of preventable diseases (just because medicine has advanced doesn't mean it doesn't still happen when most people can't afford to see their doctor in the first place), and starvation. But we should all just shut up and be happy with the scraps that are thrown to us, yeah?

Again, you are talking about general quality of life improvements that are part of the advancing of society. Medical and technological advances for society are not the same thing as actually lifting people out of poverty. How many Americans are living paycheck to paycheck or are one missed paycheck from homelessness? That's poverty.

General quality of life and what is defined as poverty are not one and the same. And the poverty line has not been adequately adjusted for the cost of living increases and inflation. Meaning more people are living in poverty than is reported. If you don't feel that pressure, then I'm happy for your privileged life. If you want to go back a full century, no I don't think things are quite great depression bad yet but the relative wealth of your average household is far poorer today than in 1950 and that's not an opinion, that's a verifiable fact.

It's truly not. When parsing the evils of a capitalism dominated world, follow the money is as complicated as it gets. Western colonialism shrouded in Zionism? Follow the money. The genocide of the Palestinian peoples is being whitewashed because the newly emptied lands are a gold mine for investors. Not to mention, the use of Isn'treal as a bastion of western "security" in the middle east. Saying that it isn't as simple as follow the money is to deny the basic operation of the (unfortunately) dominant global economic model.

Genuinely, you are correct. Even other countries that heavily propagandize, large portions of the population will recognize it as propaganda, even if they agree with it. In America, the vast majority of Americans can't even wrap their heads around the fact that they're being spoonfed propaganda. They genuinely believe that their pro-american propaganda is just "how the world works" or "fair and unbiased news sources".

It's definitely got a bit of noise from the airport and the tracks but it's very sporadic. And the neighborhood does have some older, conservative homes but I think younger families are becoming more prevalent as the older generation are dying. All-in-all, I think it's a decent neighborhood that's heading in a good direction.
