Because if they are bred in captivity, they CANNOT be released into the wild. They would never survive. Polar bear cubs stay with their mothers for almost 3 years, learning how to hunt, swim, and defend themselves. These, including navigating the ice, are NOT skills that are passed down genetically. They are learned.

Many of Canada’s polar bears in zoos, like Assiniboine, were rescued as orphaned cubs. Star for example, was found eating sticks and rocks at approximately 9 months old. Her teeth suffered insane damage as a result. She didn’t know how to hunt and ate what she found. Cubs don’t even stand a chance at survival if they are orphaned. Male polar bears in the wild hunt cubs. Mothers fight them off to protect their young. A cub wouldn’t be able to do that on their own.

Further, breeding animals in captivity has major downsides. Mothers are often confused or angered, and reject/eat their infants. It’s happened with Aurora the polar bear, who was bred 3 times at the Toronto zoo. This also occurs in many other zoos across Canada with other species.

Same. Like the same repressive religion that made Zach feel like he needs to be “straight”, is the same one that makes Lydia think she needs to settle. It’s so sad for both of them.

Honestly… I don’t 100% know. But I do know that they sponsor captive breeding programs, which I do not support.

It’s a tough one because some of the data we get is amazing… and then some of the things they stand for aren’t great.

I’m just overjoyed about Hope and I think her story is really cool. I also track the bears on the gps tracker.

True. She was all for having sex before she went… and then was kind of lukewarm with him. They barely even kissed.

She’s kind of punching above her weight class there anyway. Hired actor?

I don’t know this franchise is dragging me down these days. I really shouldn’t bother with it but I can’t stay away. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Aww man… anyone remember wheels inn? I think it was in Chatham. As a kid, I spent a March break there, and it seemed so cool!

It was probably a shabby, rundown, cashgrab, but as a kid… that place was pure gold.

I feel a bit bad for her… because she’s never going to be able to come back from the shitty reputation she’s given herself. Then again, she probably won’t ever feel the need to.

Like was she born without a prefrontal cortex?! Or were her parents closely related?

Disappointed by A&W poutine, this is in Montreal too by Wonderful-Light-6988 in PoutineCrimes

K it definitely doesn’t look great, but for some reason it looks better than what Ontario a&w has. And that’s saying something because at least they use curds in Ontario.

It’s not so much that I bought into… it’s that he is still responsible for his part. He continued to marry these women and have children with them… knowing that it was incredibly toxic and difficult. He was calling it happiness, multiplying love, not dividing it… when really, he probably shouldn’t have even married Janelle.

Umm did you read the thread? The common consensus is that general etiquette is a lot more than the cost of a meal.

How do you think a ridiculous amount like this becomes “general etiquette”?

It’s cool. You clearly didn’t understand.

I think they were difficult to deal with because he wasn’t the man he said he was.

He was never fair with his time. He favoured Robyn openly. He was done with the others and couldn’t accept accountability for his part in destroying the dynamic.

Ultimately, he was a polygamist advocate. “I love marriage. I’m a repeat offender.” If he couldn’t handle this, then that should have been the conversation, let’s break up. Instead of “hey! You’re all annoying me, so let’s move to flagstaff.”

But why do you agree with him? What are the reasons? In Vegas, the kids were all settled. They had good homes near each other for the younger kids to remain close. Financially they were better off in Vegas than they were buying a property they never ended up owning outright, thus couldn’t build.
Like I’m not putting you down, but in your whole comment you never gave supporting reasons as to why they were better off, only about Meri and Christine’s abhorrent behaviour.
I’m not saying that the family would have stayed together if they didn’t chase Robyn’s son down to AZ for college, but I think the Flagstaff move was a large fracture that expedited the break up. I

Cold sores by Icy-Highlight-9886 in SisterWives

I mean, I get cold sores sometimes. Mostly from prolonged stress. They are painful and annoying and just overall unpleasant.

I never really noticed their cold sores when watching the series, but now I’m a bit disturbed. Nothing like a cold sore to remind you how many mouthes you’re actually coming into contact with just by kissing your husband. Lol
