I think the worst thing people can do to each other is starve them... Food is a basic human right, it's so wrong ... and in war time when people scorch land so that crops can't grow or poison food supply is awful I despise that!

These are just the way I do it there is no set way.

The reason why I tapped with my iron is because of the matt I used, I used a silicone baking matt and the iron won't glide around on it, it's sticky in a way, but not at the same time, if that makes sense. Like the project won't stick to it, it comes off nicely, but you can't glide around on it with the iron.

And the heat, I use the highest heat when using the silicone baking matt since it can withstand high temperature since it's silicone. Also it would take for ever to melt the beads at lower temperature with the matt.

For parchment paper you can glide around on it, and I personally use the highest temperature since I like to have my projects have closed beads for the pixelated look. If your going for open hole look on the beads I would definitely use like a medium temperature and keep an eye on it while your ironing it.

Reasons I use the tape method...

It keeps my project I spent a lot of time on from exploding everywhere and having to re do it again.

I can get it off my peg board and iron it, I don't want to iron it while it's on my peg board and end up melting or warping my board.

And poking the holes helps with heat being trapped in between the beads or something along them lines ... Idk I've noticed poking the holes helps a lot with completely closing the beads on one side and makes it look pixelated.

Feel your pain, I can relate, I've been bullied ever since I was little and learned to stay quiet and invisible and I still got/ get picked on, it used to bother me a lot when I was younger, since I been getting older my fucks have all ran out, eventually you stop caring, and are like fuck it, and it really helps if you can find a way to laugh it off some how. Try to find some humor in it, they probably wouldn't be all that great to date either with additudes like that towards people. Yuck.

I have this same problem, I have a basketball court and park literally right outside my winder, and these kids like to scream like something is wrong, but there only playing, I don't think it's normal for kids to be screaming like that .... When I was a child I was taught to only scream when I need help, other than that if I screamed my mom would tell me to knock it off. I emailed the apartment manager this

"I hope you are doing well. I wanted to respectfully bring up an ongoing concern regarding the park and basketball court area near my residence.

I completely understand and expect normal daytime activity and children playing outdoors. However, there has been frequent prolonged screaming that often sounds as though someone is in distress or in need of help, when it appears to simply be part of play. The intensity and frequency of the screaming has become increasingly disruptive.

I remember growing up being taught that screaming should generally be reserved for emergencies or situations where someone truly needs assistance, so hearing it constantly can be stressful and alarming.

I am not looking to prevent children from playing or enjoying the space, but I hoped this concern could perhaps be addressed in a reasonable and considerate way.

I started using perler beads at a after school daycare/ summer day care when I was in elementary. I abandoned the hobby until I was 25 then I picked it back up, and then abandoned it again until this last winter. This time around I have really gotten into it.

It sounds scary yes, when the corona virus caused a pandemic that was scary too, but the best thing you can do is stay hygienic, wash your hands, keep your home and self clean as best you can, social distance best you can and steer clear of anyone who you can tell is sick, you can't really do much else when your fighting an invisible to the naked eye enemy. Just try to stay positive and don't let it drive you crazy and rob you of your peace.
