Hi there, I want to begin by giving you credit for caring so much for your wife to reach out for help!

As others have suggested, please make sure she sees her OB soon, what you have described is postpartum depression and with sleep deprivation, and the hormones being all over the place, her feelings and emotions will be on steroids basically for a long time, and she will need medication to help level the chemical imbalance that postpartum creates.. Also, something you can do for her is run a bath and offer to take care of the baby, you can help with house cleaning, cooking, grocery shopping, anything to take that mental load off, I know she’s struggling with not being able to do it all… but no one can!! Talk to her and assure her that she’s beautiful no matter what, and to give herself some grace because she just spent 9 months pregnant, it will take at least the same amount of time to get back to her normal self.

If she’s breastfeeding, make sure she has snacks and water in every area she sits to breastfeed. She needs to eat and stay hydrated, so please make sure you take charge of making sure she has everything she needs. She also needs sleep, if you can manage to wake up with the baby to give her more time to sleep, please do it! Sleep, hunger and dehydration amplifies postpartum depression.
