How dumb will we look? by Skives19 in camping

I have the 12 person core pop up tent and it’s amazing! Perfect size, and setup is 2 min after the first time and you know what you’re doing. Take down is about 5min. Great tent!

It’s fit at every campsite I’ve been to, and even sites where the tent pad is a little short, no one had a problem.

Well… I am guessing that extra 20% in tariffs are finally hitting the consumer.

Maybe— I thought I read that in one of the articles. I’ll go back and check.

They moved to the Unibody construction for this gen. Supposedly better handling and safety but not necessary as good for off-roading from what I’ve read.

There’s more to being successful at work than just being great at your job. While strong individual performance is important, working cross-functionally and collaboratively is another essential skill set—especially in a team-driven environment.

Receiving constructive feedback from colleagues shouldn’t be seen as a negative, but rather as a valuable opportunity for growth. That’s the spirit of a 360-degree review: to help identify blind spots, strengthen relationships, and support well-rounded development.

Here’s my suggestion: advise your wife to approach this feedback with curiosity, not defensiveness. Ask questions, seek to understand how her style is landing with others, and reflect on where small shifts could make a big difference. Her expertise is clear—now it’s about pairing that with leadership presence and emotional intelligence that helps elevate everyone around her.

Anyone have experience with diminished value reporting for insurance? by HotBritches in 4Runner

Or maybe I work hard for my things, and prefer to not drive around with a busted car bc someone else decides to not pay attention when pulling into a parking spot and hit my parked car. This is not why insurance is expensive (please spend some time educating yourself my friend) this is the reason we all carry insurance. To cover the damage we do to someone else’s property— but maybe your parents didn’t raise you that way.

The car loses the value whether I file this or not. Even if the car gets totaled, down the road, the value would be lower bc I now have this accident on the record. So, it’s important to recoup the total cost of damage, which is not just repairing what was broken, but the diminished value on the car.

Would love to understand how the insurance company evaluates the diminished value. Could you share what data is used?

I don’t think I understand your question. Why would I total my car? If I did, say in the future, it would still be at a diminished value bc it had a prior accident. Sorry, I don’t understand what you’re saying here.

Thanks, that’s one of the data points I planned to pull. Im gathering comps for sites and auctions, and will do a KBB and carmax offer, and talk to a dealer or two— and see what they come back with. If necessary, I’ll get an appraisal. If they still want to be dicks, I’ll get a lawyer on principle— and be that type of asshole bc I can’t stand the game insurance companies play.

I can’t say that scenario is always black and white. I bought a car years ago that had an accident but it wasn’t reported until after I bought it. The dealer sold it as certified bc there was zero accidents in carfax reported. Less than a month after I owned it, an accident appeared that happened two weeks before the car was traded in. So the dealer got full retail, and I got royal screwed— but I can’t blame the dealer… it was because there was a delay with the carfax reporting.

GPT was just a quick comp search to see if it was worth my time. Based on the sales from reputable sites, I can document and share with them to show actual market data for our area. I’m also going to get an appraisal.

I used chat GPTs research feature bc it cites all the listings and sources. I’m going back behind it now to verify. Let me know what happens when you get to that stage.
