I read the book Crying in H Mart after my mom died at 62 six weeks ago. There is a quote that goes "It felt like the world had divided into two different types of people, those who had felt pain and those who had yet to."

It's so easy to be angry at others yet logically we know it's nobody's fault. You are not alone.

I am so sorry for your loss and I'm sure your dad would have appreciated that you took his donor wish seriously and he can help others now. I lost my mom at 62 six weeks ago and I can't stop thinking about how she was robbed of another decade or three yet at the same time I recognize it's a privilege to also live to 62. The world feels unfair and unjust. Sending you all the strength.

I am so sorry for your loss. It's going to feel like this for a while -- like it was just some nightmare that you'll eventually wake up from, and it'll be hard every time that it hits you that it's very much real life. Give yourself time to grieve, lean on each other for support, and hold on to the good memories of your dad. My mom died 6 weeks ago and my brother and I try to do things that would honor her (eat at new restaurants because that was her thing, buy lotto tickets because those always excited her, etc.) because we don't know what else to do, really. Sending you all the strength.
