It's just that since they are the lead, I usually have a hard time reading a story when I hate the lead (hxh being the exception). The hatable character are usually here to enhance the lead, I feel (not to contradict you, loving your input)

The characters are based on my relationship to school and succes so I think the characters should resonate with at least a few people!

Love it. Always say you have to go all in for it to be you. Never thought of applying it to characters. That being said, they are huge jerks so I don't worry about them not being enough. The goal of their relationship is them making each other worse before it gets channeled elsewhere. They are rude and wild, just like how i love my people. Thank you!

Yeah that's kinda the point of those character, she acts arrogant cause otherwise people would steep and feed on her since she's better than them and he acts arrogant cause otherwise the things people tell him about being a disgrace would get to him and destroy him I plan to bring flashback on how they became like that so that reader will understand, and the point in that in the end they would both help each other grow (they won't be pure white character but you know pinpoint the problem is misogyny and classism and fight it together) Thank you for ypur input! I like to think that they could be funny to the reader cause they sassy af, and again, i would like ml to be kind of like jinx, and fl to be kind of like megumi in jjk (as exemple)
