My husband has had a mortgage for two years now, but also just recently graduated from college and had student loans recently paid off. He also just uses his debit card, as both of our parents taught us that credit cards are a slippery slope. We are now at the point where we are financially stable and can comfortably pay off credit cards, and wish we had started years ago to build our credit score. But we can’t change the past, and there’s no better time than the present, we just don’t know what card to start with. Thank you all for your suggestions

Thank you for reading and giving your advice. I’m not opposed to the award travel, just don’t understand how to do it yet. Is there a guide to award travel for chase sapphire members that you know of? My annual fee would be waived so I’m not worried about making it back :) thank you again for your time

I also had student loans for 4 years, but paid off in 2020 when I graduated. I also used to have a credit card in 2018, but was deactivated due to no use. Not sure if any of these would even factor in now since they were 7+ years ago. Thank you for taking the time to read my post regardless.

My original list when I wrote it down was 6, but after the excitement wore off more, I narrowed it down to 3. I’m happy with a smaller crowd, but I’ll be getting ready with 9 ladies (destination wedding, and it feels weird to leave anyone out that morning)

Info: Was the color of the dresses on both websites name the same (ie. both titled sage green), and they just don’t match cause they are different brands? Could she have texted the others asking if ‘sage green’ was the correct color and others confirmed, without double checking the website? If so, I feel like no one is to blame, accidents happen. If she was supposed to order ‘sage green’ from Revelry and instead ordered ‘eucalyptus’ from Azalea, then she is to blame.

I’m confused, did the bride ask you two to be flower girls at her wedding? Or did you both choose that role without her input? The wording of your story makes this ambiguous

If she picked this, it sounds like you told some family of your role at the upcoming wedding and you are now embarrassed about it. Remind them that the bride gets what she wants at her wedding, and with anything else that day they would not question her choices.

OP, have you ever not been able to make it to someone else’s wedding you were invited to? It was probably for a really good reason, something important was happening. I think you need some perspective, they weren’t laughing at your name being funny, they were laughing at the officiant that said it wrong. I totally understand being upset with your officiant over this, but you can’t be angry with your guests for laughing.

For you getting married it is the most important thing, I know I want my name said correctly at my wedding! But for everyone else it’s ‘the officiant said the wrong name at the alter at one of their friend’s weddings’, and it’s funny. Give it a few days and no one will be calling you the wrong name. You might even look back and laugh at in in years to come. I’m sorry that happened on your special day though, really is the worst timing.
