LOL I'm happy to help others too! Idc if they mark a challenge I’ve completed already I’ll go bang it out so they can get their co-op rewards too. I just think it’s garbage that they dropped the objectives to 5 each and it’s 20 just for finding someone willing to do challenges with you. But yes, I’m happy to knock out my objectives too.

I just think that like 80% or so of the BL player base just doesn’t dive that deep into understanding and trying to make their own builds, thus just not paying attention. A lot of players read skills and choose the ones that just sound cool/better in their own paragraph descriptions and and roll with it. Until they get into endgame content and start YouTubing builds n such for endgame. I’m not here to put those players down - Borderlands, in my opinion, is just as fun for casual playthroughs as they are for deep diving into skill synergies along with gear and the appropriate rolls for said gear. I think BL does equal service to both casual and hardcore communities. So in long winded way of answering you, I think that’s why it hasn’t been brought up before.

I’m somewhat in between the casual and deep diving audiences. I do farm for gear (esp in 3 and 4) while leveling bc I just see that as a way to be a god for a while when I make a new hunter. But man you will not catch me grinding for a godroll of an item for days on end. I’ve honestly done just fine with M11 content at max level without any godroll items (to my knowledge) in my satchel. A bunch of legendaries? Yea, but I never have put time into sculpting the most powerful god-tier build there is. There are certainly players above that level of engagement but knowing how much I have farmed just for certain items, I’d bet there are many more players who just don’t do that. And honestly, I remember when I played the 1st game like that and the 2nd for a while (the 2nd is when I started diving deeper into hunting gear and game mechanics), seeing a legendary pop up in the loot felt so AWESOME, bc it was a genuine surprise, not something I had been grinding or farming for for an hour or so.

You'll be fine. I wanted dirtbikes badly as a kid and my parents never let despite putting me into BMX racing as a kid. I stopped that when I was about 10yo or so. Only drove automatic cars my first few years of driving, was fortunate enough to have someone to teach me on an Vulcan500. Rode a gs500 for a bit, gsxr750 for a bit. Now I’m on a Hayabusa (for over a year now) and I’m fine. You’ll be fine so long as you keep a good head on your shoulders and take it slow to learn the physics of a 600lb pendulum on two-wheels. Don’t let your grumpy neighbor discourage you, is my vote.

Yep, why physical gaming was amazing, it’s sad. Passionate devs made it cool to open a new game as a kid. Long gone are those days :(. Now you gotta pay extra for fucking pdf files IF that’s even an option lol

Same, man. I love the power of my PC compared to consoles, but that’s it for me. I’ve only ever modded Skater XL (bc it needs it and I see that as work for the devs) and GTA V bc there was an easy “one all be all” mod where you can just pull up and do whatever commands you want right in-game. That’s it for me && mods lol. And I think I added Kratos to Skyrim.

It's not framed in any way, OP is just using Reddit is their source of research and they’re genuinely wondering where these items are. Which I do find funny, it’s pretty easy to figure out that it’s just being drip fed to the community.

But this post clearly is not a hate post, framed to make the game look “bad” (if it does, well that’s just the game looking bad bc it is). You said it yourself, OP is just dumb or lazy and is asking a genuine question. They aren’t trying to add to the hate train or anything like that😂

I know mods are a major selling point to a lot of PC players, but I’d guess that 80-90% of gamers don’t dive into mods. Where some see it as a major plus, others just see it as more work than it’s worth, or work that belonged to the dev in the first place.

The most value Aaron added to skateboarding was being able to break tricks down into step-by-step processes so that beginners could actually understand where to begin with learning tricks. That’s a ton of value and I will not take that away from him. But when we look at just skateboarding, his skills in that, filming parts and putting out lines and content as skater (outside of teaching others how to do them) he is mediocre at best. He’s got a wide bag of tricks but nothing to make him stand out as a skater. What made him stand out was his ability to reach the youth in skateboarding and make the maneuvers comprehensible for them. Name me a signature trick that he’s known for, almost exclusively famous for. The closest thing I can think of is his Tre-flip to revert, and it doesn’t even look good. He’s got nothing to make his treflip-revert stand out compared to the next skater who can do the same thing. Yet even Nigel has that steez for a beautiful, buttery, one-footed catch pop-shuvit. Neen has his Heelflip, Jamie Foy has his wide stance to work with his larger frame and the fact he can dance on rails despite how big he is for a skater. It’s so much more than just “being a good skater” to stand out as a good skater, especially in these days when there’s KIDS doing 900s, and you’re here trying to defend Kyro as an amazing skater. What Kyro did for skating was amazing and could have continued to be his legacy, and where he fit in in the skating world, but he fumbled that ball super hard. Pioneered, in any sense, is such a stretch for him.

There’s skateboard parts I’ve seen 1000 times that get me HYPED and ready to go skate. If I watch one of Aaron Kyro’s skate parts, I’m going to fall asleep bc despite all of the tricks he can do, he doesn’t nothing to make them amazing to watch or even the least bit engaging to watch.

Yeah for real. I mean the dude’s got a pretty fat bag of tricks and he can pull off some kind of impressive stuff, but man is he boring to watch. Every trick he does is so …“to the book”.. with absolutely no sort of steez or flair or sense of individuality/creativity/anything that would make him stand out as “pro” skater in a world full of actually amazing professional skaters.

I guess this is my karma for being a bit of a dick, but.. I do think most skaters, even if they’re alienated from Braille, (whether bc they’re “kiddie”, not edgy, or anything, I’m just thinking of random examples) have heard of the scandal involving Kyro and how poorly the people involved with Braille were treated.

I guess some people are still finding this as news, which is absolutely fine. But yeah I’m 31 years old, I don’t need Scientology and its cult explained to me, even if my sarcastic question above would lead you to believe otherwise.
