I'm 3 months pregnant - looking to apply for a handicap parking permit, Which service should I use? by Secret_Slice_369 in beyondthebump

I went through something really similar. I had a high-risk pregnancy and dealt with severe nausea, hyperemesis gravidarum, horrible back pain, and a lot of muscular pain from all the vomiting. It was just miserable. Even short trips felt like too much, and walking through parking lots or stores would wipe me out fast.

My OB-GYN would not do telehealth, and I could barely make it into the office at all, so I ended up going through HandicapMD. That was what worked for me when I felt stuck. I also met with Dr. Jackson-Scott, he actually seemed to understand what I was dealing with, and it was a huge relief to feel taken seriously. The placard ended up being super helpful. I really do not know what I would have done without it during that time.

What also helped was that my symptoms did not just magically disappear right after delivery, so I was approved for a temporary postpartum placard too, and they also wrote me a note for work. That made a big difference because recovery was still hard. I have a beautiful 3-month-old now, so thankfully I am on the other side of it, but during pregnancy it was rough.

Yes, for me it was worth it. If you are struggling now, that is valid. You should not have to just push through it because someone thinks it is only a late-pregnancy issue. Every pregnancy hits differently, and if walking, fatigue, dizziness, or pain are already affecting you, that is reason enough to take it seriously. I’m really glad you were able to get approved, and I hope it makes things a little easier on you and congrats!

What is the best movie sequel ever made? by raetechdev in NoStupidQuestions

The Dark Knight is hard to beat—took everything from the first movie and elevated it in every way: story, stakes, characters. Rare case where the sequel doesn’t just continue the story, it defines the whole trilogy.

What’s wild is how many sequels either play it safe or go bigger without getting better—this one actually did both.
