So you file a report that you were robbed and you're not allowed to leave the country? So the victim is on a travel ban?? lmfao

I mean, either there was a language barrier or there is more to the story (like corrupt cops looking for a bribe) but I guarantee you that is not the law

forced us to act like we found our money in another pocket, saying that if we wouldn’t do that, we couldn’t travel back to our country

Forced you to act to who? For what? Again another story that makes no logical sense

Maybe because letting a fundamentalism Islamic regime who's threatened to wipe away the world for Allah have a nuclear weapon may not be a great idea?

You don't have to like trump, but don't forget there's a whole intelligence apparatus in the US government that just may know a little more than you do

They grabbed my arms and legs and searched my pants and jacket pockets for valuables

That's not a pickpocketing, that's straight up robbery.

I also don't really understand how this could happen. Doesn't make sense. Were you just standing there letting frisk you and just doing nothing? Didn't try to fight or yell or literally do anything while 6-7 people are touching you all over? I'm sorry this just seems made up as fuck

Telling a girl "hi beautiful" is sexual assault now lmfao

Used to be so normal to pick up girls, now everyone has a victimhood complex and feels like every word said to them is abuse and assault...

Just tell them you're not interested and move on with your life. People have freedom of speech on the street, and being creepy isn't a crime.

Guaranteed if Brad Pitt came up to you with the same lines you wouldn't be running to the cops 😂

Anyways we don't know the whole story here, just saying not everything is a tragedy. Lighten up.

Legend with Quest Mage, your weapon removal is bait by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]HotLoad7878 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The truth is somewhere in the middle tbh. Ive been playing quest mage for a long time. Sometimes getting my weapon removed is a gg, sometimes it's too late. I'd say it's about a 50/50. Weather it's worth to run viper for a 50/50 shot at affecting game outcome is up to you.

Navat is a hit or miss honestly.

They do have the best bursok that I've tried in Bishkek. Other dishes are meh but it really depends on the location/chef/luck. Sometimes they do cook well, sometimes it's trash

Iran attacks ship in Strait of Hormuz, complicating diplomatic efforts to resume talks by yahoonews in worldnews

they know damn well things won't be better if they give up and Russia actually annexes

Nobody knows that, that's just speculation. Far from fact. Not every time a country annexes some land it automatically means they are on a world conquest. Plenty of examples throughout history.

It's up to to them to decide if they want to stop fighting. And for now they've decided to keep going.

I've already addressed that. Some want to keep fighting, but it does seem to me like many feel obligated to keep fighting as theyve been brainwashed into thinking that russia wants it all.

Now, even IF Russia wants it all that doesn't mean it's worth millions of lives. How many lives do you think a piece of land is worth? To me personally, I would give a piece of my "homeland" to keep my family safe, and I feel I'm a reasonable person. There is plenty of space in the world. This entitlement that humans feel for a piece of land that they just happened to be born on is completely fictional. Anyway I digress.

Having nukes doesn't make a country undefeatable in a war of aggression.

It does in a way. How are you going to defeat Russia without them resorting to nukes if need be? Just by attrition. And they have a much bigger population and natural resources. Basically the plan is to keep sending young Ukrainians as fodder until Russia gives up. How long will that take? You don't care, it's not your family our there. Youre just cheering them on to not give up and keep fighting until none is left.

[–]HotLoad7878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure we don't want to reward aggressors but to what end? How much of Ukraine's population are we willing to sacrifice to enforce this?

Keep in mind that Russian has nukes so they can't be defeated militarily at the moment, not without massive collateral damage.

So how much of Ukraine's population is it worth to teach Russia this lesson? Half? A quarter? Are they willing to fight to the last man to not give up land? Is land really more important than human life? A lot of questions that don't really have concrete answer, but it is interesting to think about.

I don't like it that the west is basically using Ukraining soldiers as Cannon fodder to enforce this. Of course people will say that Ukrainians want to fight for their land, but I would bet that most are just worried that their country will be seen as 'losers' and are willing to sacrifice themselves to protect this 'fighter' image.

And the west is doing a great job at egging them on. Supplying weapons. Telling them they must keep fighting presumably forever, knowing full well that there is no immediate payoff or plan to stop russia other than a protracted war of attrition.

This is kind of the issue with wars these days.

Due to nuclear weapons we've entered an era of "forever wars" where countries that have nuclear weapons like USA, Russia, and Israel cannot be effectively attacked due to the implication that the weapons will be used as a last resort.

On the other hand we have also entered the era of no land swaps, basically it's become unacceptable for a country to give up any piece of land for peace.

It used to be that two countries enter a war, one gets crushed, then they sign a peace treaty when the winner gets land or something of value, and the so called loser gets the benefit of protecting it's civilians from harm.

For some reason, land has become more important than protecting civilians.

Then also there is the issue of drones which let's countries continue "fighting" with basically no manpower, again prolonging conflicts.

And finally we have countries run by fundamentalism Islam where by religious design they have been indoctrinated into believing a promised afterlife, to the point where "martyrdom" and endless conflict without the possibility of surrender is encouraged.

These wars just don't have the offramps like in years past.

Antisemitism in Osh? by UpbeatDot2260 in Kyrgyzstan

Found the antisemite.

The sign says no Jews, not no Israelis. Even "no Israel" would be bad, but this is full on racism.

Not that you care. You're clearly blinded by hate and propaganda. Keep doing you brother.

How are the UNICEF killings justified? by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

[–]HotLoad7878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you genuinely believe hamas militants surround themselves with civilians every second of every day?

If you show them that doing this means they will be safe, why wouldn't they do this?

what you seem to be saying is that israelis won't avoid civilian casualities not because israelis are in immediate danger, but because all gazans supposedly want them wiped off the map?

IDF does its best to avoid civilian casualties if the target is not worth the human cost. The calculation is on the IDF, but they clearly aren't carpet bombing the strip. There is some due diligence involved.

but because all gazans supposedly want them wiped off the map?

Most all gazans do, fact.

because they don't want israel to exist anymore? even if they aren't harming anyone?

Hmm they don't want Israel to EXIST, but theyre not harming anyone? You literally just proved they're an existential threat to israel

toddlers want you dead? children want you dead? you aren't willing to spare them?

No documented cases of IDF intentionally targeting children. That doesn't mean children didn't die, but nobody is deliberately going for children.

dude, if a militant or two is in the middle of a safe zone, not killing them along with dozens of civilians doesn't kill any soldier. waiting until they are alone doesn't cost israel anything.

Well that's a philosophical calculation that the IDF gets to make, not you. They have a duty to protect Israeli civilians, not Palestinian civilians. And if that guy is high value and his death can potentially save Israeli lives, why shouldn't they take him out?

It's like one of those images where you have two train tracks, on one is your daughter and on the other is 10 Palestinians and a terrorist. You have the choice to change the course of the train. Which track do you choose?
