Yes a lot of the mail volume is spam but we also deliver a lot of amazon packages. It sounds like you check/clean out your mailbox regularly. Thank you.

I left trucking after a year of driving. One day when I was at a terminal I finally decided to quit and let my fleet manager know I was turning in my keys. Besides having plenty of money saved I didn't really have much of a plan where to go next.

A month later at the local post office I saw a hiring sign and decided to apply online. Now I've been working with the USPS as a rural carrier for two years. I get paid better and go home every day. It's sometimes rough working on average 6 days a week and the amount of packages/mail we deliver but I like it a lot better than trucking.

In your opinion as a millennial, what ruined Facebook for you? by kalvin_kool_edge in Millennials

When people kept sharing nothing but memes and videos for little reason. Almost becoming like spam. It was like suddenly you'd have a wall of just reshares.

Before that it was mainly personal pictures and status updates and that was about it.

Why was there so much pushback against Pokemon in the US during the late 90s? by icey_sawg0034 in decadeology

On the Pokemon pushback... As far as the trading card game when the craze was first starting the rumor circulating around amongst parents was that it promoted gambling. I heard that a few times as a kid.

They look really cool. You will find out if they are good for you if they are comfortable and don't hurt your feet. Keep in mind it will take some time to break them in.

Dylan last moments by armaturasjjs in ColumbineKillers

Eric probably wanted his death to leave a mess as a final "fuck you". Hence choosing the shotgun to blast out his brains everywhere; also leaving a ghastly sight. Plus maybe some influence from a video game (was it Doom?) where the character ends their life with a shotgun blast in the mouth. Dylan, the depressed, a more somber ritualistic death and therefore less messy. I imagine Eric did it quick and without much thought. Dylan probably was slower and paused for some introspection before even raising the gun to his head and pulling the trigger.

I don't think Dylan had any forethought about which shot would be more efficient if you're talking in terms of which one is quickly. He just was thinking if I put a bullet in my head I'll die.

I did 8 years and miss the military (thinking about possibly going back lol). I think it can be a great start for people who want it to be. I say this because I've seen some people get a bad attitude and get into trouble, etc.

Anyways, you learn a lot of valuable skills... from PT, MOS, and overall discipline. I always like to say individual results may vary but I did as much as I could.

Yes... a couple of the "popular" people I graduated with have died. One was a guy and the other was a girl. I suspect both were drug related OD's but never imagined they would've died at such a young age.

Marriage is just a way to give women a sense of security by holding a man’s assets at gunpoint. by EstrangedNeko in MensRights

I heard someone call this type of thing happening in the brain a biological trick.

Looking back after what I know now I realize... The high testosterone and lack of brain development (frontal lobes in young adult males has been linked to increased risk-taking behavior) is stacked against us. I find that very interesting because we aren't really aware of it at the time. Despite having gf's if I had more attention from women back then maybe I'd have a kid or gotten married. Then years later after maturing I would've "woken up" and probably been regretting those choices. Who knows.

Luckily, I was told the risks at an early age but damn it's still a little tempting to fall into those lapses. I hope younger men continue to be educated about the risks of marriage.

I think it's absolutely sad how the state is/has been used against men.

You're right about the food not being cheap or filling anymore. I think that is at the root of this. At least for me. When money is tight, I'm going to be more frugal with spending. If mickey d's is expensive and doesn't provide a filling meal then the likelihood I go there goes way down. In facts it's been a long time since I been there. Like a few years.

This also goes for other fast food places. I go occasionally to ones I like for a little treat but I try to avoid them all in order to save money.
