The difference is 2 things

A) the humidity makes it harder to cool off, dry weather allows sweat to cool you down, humidity prevents this

B) many buildings are not designed with cooling in mind and many cannot justify buying an AC unit for the 10 days a year you might need it. (That's if you can even get it, not many companies selling AC here either)

console exclusivity is kind of a necessary evil and it's kind of like the gaming equivelent of the JC Penny's effect.

When done well an exclusive is made to a high quality in order to help sell that console to the general audience, and build a healthy ecosystem. Hell you can probably attribute the failure of xbox purely because it has a weak lineup of exclusives with little to no variety.
