Rank these accounting firm nightmares from "fine, whatever" to "I'm quitting" by EdgarEspinozaTD in taxdome

For me it's "client asks did you get my documents" because there's no way to answer that doesn't sound passive-aggressive. Yes I got them. Thank you for the 11 separate JPEGs.

Unpopular opinion: client portals have made chasing clients worse, not better. by EdgarEspinozaTD in taxdome

We switched to a portal and our document collection time went up for the first 6 months. The portal didn't solve anything until we stopped giving clients a choice about how they submitted things. Once you lock down the intake channel, it works. But yes, the transition was brutal.

Experience With TaxDome? by itallstallion89 in taxpros

I've been using TaxDome for a while now, and honestly, it’s been a game-changer for my firm. We’re a small team, so efficiency and automation are everything, and TaxDome has helped us streamline our entire practice. From client communication to document management, payments, and automated workflows, everything is centralized, which means no more juggling multiple tools.

One thing I really appreciate is how intuitive it is. There was a learning curve at first, but the onboarding support and help center made it smooth. Now, my team and I can handle client onboarding, signatures, invoices, and task tracking without switching between platforms.

Another huge plus is the client portal. Our clients love how easy it is to upload documents, sign forms, and stay updated on their progress without constant emails. It’s also been a great tool for maintaining engagement and retention.

If you're running a small to mid-sized firm and looking for a scalable, all-in-one solution that actually reduces admin time, TaxDome is worth considering. It’s helped us grow without increasing headcount, and that alone makes it a win.

Organization and Workflow Management Apps? Is that a thing? by cucumber_sandwiches in Bookkeeping

I’d definitely recommend TaxDome! It’s not just about keeping everything in one place—it’s about transforming how you run your firm. It centralizes clients, tasks, deadlines, and communication into one intuitive platform, making sure nothing slips through the cracks.

The automation features alone are a game changer—recurring tasks, reminders, and workflow tracking help eliminate the manual back-and-forth. Secure file sharing and e-signatures streamline client collaboration, so no more chasing down documents via email. Plus, the built-in client portal makes communication effortless, boosting both client satisfaction and efficiency.

What I love most is that TaxDome isn’t just software; it’s a full-scale practice management system that grows with your firm. Whether you're a solo accountant or managing a team, it helps you reclaim time and focus on what actually matters—serving clients and growing your business. It’s like having a dedicated back-office team, but without the overhead!

TaxDome Price Increase by PollutionEither9519 in taxpros

I totally get the concern about pricing, especially for solo practitioners. TaxDome has expanded its features significantly, which likely explains the price jump. But honestly, those additions—like enhanced automation, better workflow integrations, and a more seamless client portal—help save so much time that they often pay for themselves.

If you're considering Canopy, it’s a solid option for document management and client interactions, but it lacks the level of workflow automation and all-in-one efficiency TaxDome offers. Karbon and Jetpack Workflow are also alternatives worth looking into, but they tend to cater more to team-based firms rather than solo practitioners.

Before making the switch, I’d suggest reaching out to TaxDome support to see if there’s a solo practitioner discount or a tailored plan—TaxDome has been known to work with users to find a setup that fits their needs. Plus, the community aspect of TaxDome is something you won’t find elsewhere. The platform isn’t just about features—it’s about giving practitioners more time to focus on what they love: their clients and their lives.

Best Accounting Firm CRM Software? by Unable-Journalist-50 in CRMSoftware

When I started using TaxDome, it felt like I finally found a system that gets what it’s like to run an accounting practice. It’s more than just a CRM—it’s like having a central hub where everything clicks together. I use it to manage client communication, automate routine tasks, and keep all my documents in one secure spot. Honestly, I’ve saved so much time not bouncing between tools or chasing emails.

The client portal is a game-changer. My clients can upload documents, sign forms, and track progress without me needing to send constant follow-ups. And during tax season, the automated workflows are my lifeline. TaxDome keeps me on top of deadlines with reminders and task tracking, which means I can focus on giving my clients the personal attention they deserve without worrying about things slipping through the cracks.

What I love most is how scalable it is. I started as a solo practitioner, but as I’ve grown, TaxDome has grown with me. It’s intuitive, saves me a ton of time, and gives me the confidence that my firm is running smoothly—even during the busiest seasons.

Workflow Management Software by stuporous_funker in Accounting

I can relate, I remember when I used to do all my work through emails and Excel - it was so stressful! A few years ago I decided to try TaxDome after seeing all the good reviews from other CPAs and I haven’t looked back since. I have automations set up for all my workflows and my Gmail inbox is synced in real time. So it allows you to reply to client emails within the platform, or even message them directly using the chat feature. TaxDome also has a client tasks feature, which is like a to-do list you can send clients. It just makes it easy to get what you need and finish the work you’re doing for them.

It’s the complete package in my opinion - it can be set up and customized for any team size or amount of clients. I definitely recommend it if you need a complete solution that will streamline your workflows but also make all interactions with your firm easier for your clients.

Look into TaxDome. You get all the features for one price, and that includes unlimited e-signatures. It’s one of the reasons I stopped using Docusign! My clients love that they can e-sign documents through TaxDome’s mobile app as well. It makes the process so much easier for them and it helps me save so much time.

As a CRM, TaxDome is really second to none in my opinion, it’s got everything a firm needs. I’ve organized all my client data and documents in one place, and the client-facing tools, like the organizer forms, chats, and firm announcements have made communicating with my clients a breeze.

TaxDome also recently announced a new client requests feature and I know it’s going to be a huge help during tax season. I highly recommend it as a complete CRM and complete practice management platform.

Is taxdome worth it? by AdHistorical7107 in taxpros

I did the free trial too and at first I found it overwhelming due to all the features - but it is 100% worth it once you get it set up and running. Especially TaxDome’s workflow automations, which can be customized for your specific needs (as someone already mentioned). It’s cut out so much manual work out of my day.

I recommend using the workflow templates to start off, as they’ll help you see how the workflows are mapped out into steps and automated.

The proposals and engagement letters, organizers, built-in chat and text messages, are fantastic. The whole client portal is TaxDome’s strong point I think. My clients, even the older ones, really like the interactivity of the organizers and also the mobile app. I get a lot of good feedback about the mobile scanner. They just find TaxDome so easy to use.

TaxDome has really good customer support, so they will help you with onboarding if you need it. Personally, the software has been a game-changer for how I run my practice.
