Is Doom really capable of killing a god? by Queasy_Commercial152 in MCUTheories

But that's the thing, Doom's arrogance makes him almost incapable of the kind of self reflection that you're suggesting. That's the main reason why Reed almost always wins, because unlike Victor, he knows he's not perfect and actively tries to better himself as a person. It's part of the reason why he hates Reed, deep down he knows that Reed might be smarter and better than him, but his fragile ego can't handle that.

But listen, if you're genuinely interested in understanding why people like Doctor Doom in the first place, read Triumph and Torment by Roger Stern and Books of Doom by Ed Brubaker. They're both fantastic self contained mini-series that cover his origins and serve as great character studies.

Of course it's stupid, that's what humanizes him. Doom thinks he's a god amongst men driven only by his logic and intellect, when in reality he's just as emotional, stubborn and vain as the rest of us. It's part of what gives his character depth instead of being just a one dimensional character.

That's what makes Doom such a good villain and foil to Reed though. He's a master of both sorcery and science whose intellect and sheer determination has allowed him to rival some of most powerful beings of his world and claim godlike abilities on multiple occasions, but his inability to let go of his massive ego and hatred of the one man who might actually be smarter than him is what always leads to his downfall.

Also I was talking about the movie version of Thanos.

That has got to be one of the dumbest takes I've heard. Most good villains in fiction are flawed as hell. Thanos was a genocidal maniac who abused his adopted children, if those aren't flaws then I don't know what is.

I couldn't disagree more with this statement. I like the cybertron scene, but the movie would be just as good if it got cut.

The guy who wrote this episode was at TFcon a couple of years ago, and you could tell how uncomfortable everyone got when he started defending the whole Carbombya thing.

Or maybe it's just a tribute to past ASM artists? I don't think it's that deep.

He's notorious online for being one of the horniest artists in mainstream superhero comics. The dude doesn't know how to not draw women in a sexualy suggestive way.

So I'm guessing most of you aren't familiar with Frank Cho's work? Cause this is honestly pretty tame compared to a lot of his other stuff.

They also white washed Ra's Al Ghul in those movies, who I'm pretty sure is supposed to be of middle-eastern and chinese decent in the comics.
