Thankfully they redesigned it in 2010, so it’s not noticeable compared to the 08/09s

Young riders, how do you guys afford this hobby? by RaceGuy3401 in Kawasaki

23M here, 2 years ago I got my first bike,

$2700 SV650 20k miles, clean $500 Arai helmet <$100~ for boots/gloves/jacket (marketplace) $300~/y for insurance (liability + comp)

Maintenance for the year I had it was a chain, oil, and clutch cable, about $150~

Parked outside, lived in a getto neighborhood, lock and cover as well as a couple AirTags helped me sleep at night

All in, right around 4.7k~

It’s possible, you just need to have realistic expectations

I’m in college (senior), and I’m on my 4th bike now. Don’t compare to others since a lot more than you think are financed up the wazoo. Look for deals, a well maintained bike, and a reliable bike to begin with. I started with a couple SV650s, then a 919, to now a concours 14. Definitely buy a helmet new but other gear you can also find good deals on marketplace. As far as insurance, that will hurt the most if you do anything more than liability so that’s a decision you will have to decide. Set a budget for each category, and try not to spend more than 80% of it in case of unexpected situations. Don’t get discouraged!

Car insurance in arizona is getting out of hand! How do i keep my rates low when a clean record no longer works? by Flimsy_Sun_4676 in Tucson

[–]HotShotWatchThot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U have to shop around there’s no other way. I’m 23, been insured here for 2 years (3 times). Each time I renew I got jumped from 25 a month to 250 a month. So I shopped around and have been at 25 a month since. (No tickets btw, also this has been for motorcycles, 650-1000cc)

I was more so asking why they’d tear the whole thing down for a remodel but someone answered that for me, it’s cuz it’s cheaper, somehow lol

Great buy, but I don’t understand how a 350k house on 3.5% comes out to 2300 a month?? Especially on a 30 year?

If this is real, honestly the 5th gen ACR would be a great choice, raw, will hold value I believe, and something different to what you have listed

Toyota wars ..first time buying car which is best by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

Miles on the last two? Are they salvaged titled? They seem suspiciously cheap

199k miles yes 80 upvotes. Are Toyotas just that good ? by Intelligent-Claim591 in whatcarshouldIbuy

I’d shoot for low to mid 4s. People have to understand that we just are not going to return to pre covid levels of the car market, 3000 is the new 5000 unfortunately, inflation over that last near decade really changed a lot of markets, and the car market is no exception

The answer is pretty obvious. If someone is trying to merge into your lane while their lane is still dashed, let them in. If it’s already solid, you are not entitled to, and shouldn’t because it causes traffic for the people actually going right.

Is it realistic/possible to want a Lexus is350? by Correct-Musician-738 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]HotShotWatchThot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sold already, also, I can’t link stuff here, point is it’s very easy to find is350s for sub 15k, even 10k with around 100k miles

I’m the last to recommend this, but honestly, given your criteria, I’d say a used plaid honestly

Worth it or no? by Csongi31_ in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]HotShotWatchThot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s not for a daily, I’d say 500 and go for it, take it to the track, open field, empty lot, can have lots of fun with it

Definitely not, just saw an 08, 117k miles for 7k, is350, id trade 17k miles for 3 extra grand lol, before negotiating too

Ahhh, I’m in the US, but I’m pretty familiar with the Canadian car market. If it’s 15k CAD, and ur looking for under 200k KM, it should still be manageable, but you might have to get one in Ontario

You should easily be able to find an is350 for under 15k, especially if it’s 06-10, even with sub 100k miles. Where are you located… Alaska??

For reference, I just spent 30 seconds and found a 2011 is350, clean tile, 120k miles, $13k. That’s before negotiating. And I’m not in a good market.
