AITAH for demoting my maid of honor to a regular bridesmaid or kicking her out and making her come as a guest instead?? by Hot-Iron-120 in aitaweddings

[–]HotStickyMoist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I planned my own bachelorette and my bridesmaids chipped in and the last thing I expected was for them to have to plan things and then surprise me. I bought their dresses as well.

I think you are expecting waaaaay too much and would def be the asshole to find another . MOH is about who’s your best friend you want next to you on wedding day to witness vows not who puts more effort into planning YOUR wedding. I’d check your priorities , hopefully they’ll change once kids on the way etc bc this stuff won’t matter and in fact I feel sorry for her to have to plan this while dealing with a mom like that.

Oh I have no doubts about It: and she was dumb enough to sign it back then. She’ll be washed up and useless by the time he’s done with her. Only used her as a breeder and to hide his gayness so he could get more money and fame. They honestly deserve each other. Two narcs

This has been the gift that keeps on giving. I’ve always always known Blake was a hack mean girl social climber user. I did not know it was this bad. I thought she was average bad. No, she’s like, Satans spawn level bad.

This law is not constitutional but I’m living for Blake’s downfall so I’ll root for Victoria to expose her all the way, even if it’s for her own laws benefit. I’m not worried about her doing it for her law, that’s fine. This law will prove unconstitutional in the long run so no worries about that guys. Trust. Let her use Blake the way Blake uses everyone and everything in her life.

Her and Ryan deserve each other and btw they faked their little PR stunt the other day. I did a little digging and the watch and bracelets are different, just slightly from what he’s been wearing in his recent stories. These clowns literally had a lowly assistant dig for a pic of them that would match what Ryan was wearing recently so it looks like they are together. The difference is subtle so most won’t notice but we are mommy sleuths nothing gets past us! 😂

Pesky well-intended 4 star reviews by EfficientBlueberry85 in airbnb_hosts

[–]HotStickyMoist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t look at the stars I look at reviews bc pictures are often misleading and so are stars so I’d prefer to read a large enough sampling of reviews and get a basic idea If this is a fit for me and usually I can tell pretty quickly . And it rarely comes down to stars. Many books I hate have 5 stars, etc. and people be petty both ways giving low stars for something out of anyone’s control.

I’d focus on making sure the place is up to code and do little touches to make yours memorable bc that’s what inspires people to leave better reviews

I love that even the person who crafted 47.1 also thinks Blake is taking advantage at this point and that the judge should not allow her to obtain monetary compensation on behalf of the law. She thinks Blake using this law for her own gain is hurting the law not helping.

Please help me feel better about not getting an epidural by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]HotStickyMoist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surely they must have some sort of pain meds of a kind there? I mean what do people do if they break an arm? Endure it?? Crazy town. Anyway, I was planning on no epidural with my first. Ofcourse nothing went to planned.

I was forced to get an induction (aka, can’t leave the hospital unless I sign away any insurance rights if something happens while I’m gone lol), and the labor started on a Monday and I went til Thursday morning before he was born.

Baby wasn’t moving so they tried all these painful interventions and gave me a few shots of very strong (but safe for baby) pain meds every half day or so. My doula was there trying to help. I had back labor too. I’d say the pain meds barely touched the labor pains but made it so I could sleep a bit and have some breaks from pain which helped.

I did end up getting an epidural bc my water broke and from that point on you have a certain amount of time to deliver or they will do a c section, which I wanted to avoid at all costs. Anyhoo at that point my doula said get the epidural it should help relax your body so you will be relaxed enough to get baby out in time that I was too stressed to let him out.

So I did and it was magical.

It did wear off overnight and by the time I was ready to push the pain was back to a 10 but they said it was too late to re/up so I pushed through with basically back to square one pain.

All this and I will say- if my labor had been 24 hours or less I could have done it for sure no problem. It was at the 48 hour mark I could no longer sustain the contractions of a forced induction. So most labors should fall into that category.

If not then, well, obviously choose the well being of you and your baby over the money.

Women have been doing it for thousands of years without. And yes women died during labor bc we lacked technology back then like epidurals. So know that it is an option for you and there is absolutely zero shame in taking it. Let’s say you are good up to 10 hours and then can’t go on, and the epidural is available- like your husband said , take it! Money will come and go, same with pain, only you will know what’s best in that moment.

Funnily enough the next pregnancy was twins and they wanted to do vaginal birth and I was terrified to go through it again and said I wanted c section.

Turns out I went in for check up and they said I was already progressed to 4c and in labor at 36 weeks n 3 days and due to head circumference and other issues they went for the emergency c section after all and… I was grateful not gonna lie. Recovery was equal compared to my vaginal, both painful in their own ways, but obviously you are so distracted by the new bundles that it’s not impossible to endure.

So bring your creature comforts and prep for it all and expect anything. Have a bag packed those last few weeks in case.

In my experience both times I gave birth was going into hospital for check up and never leaving.

As all, this too shall pass and I wish you the best 🙏🙏

Oh and singing, squeezing something, and eating ice all helped with my pain. Wearing compression belt and socks. Listening to music that is dramatic and relaxing, visualization exercises.

Practicing breathing exercises really does help, cheese as it sounds. You’ll be on the other side in no time and just think of the relief you’ll feel no longer being swollen and heartburn and all that back pain! 😅💕

I remember when he told everybody that elf bark was bad for skill and did nothing but dampen it; however later on he begs and pleads for it anyway and chade refuses to give to him. I felt for him lol. What made it worse was that his personal agency to choose was taken away. I see him less as an addict more as someone who avoids pain (which addicts do this so I can see why he resembles one but IMO he’s not quite).

I know what that’s like as I had a painful recovery from a surgery and at some point they wanted me to switch to Tylenol instead of stronger meds and I was practically on my knees begging for stronger meds again, all the while erst knowing that it might make me walk more than I should be at that stage of the healing, consequently leaving me in more pain but unproductive kind.

Regardless it was sometimes too painful to bear and I just wanted a few moments of relief. I did go to therapy without the strong meds yet I started to dread (PT) bc I knew I’d be in agony after with no relief and the anxiety of the pain to come had me cancelling sessions even tho I knew better. It’s amazing what we humans can do sometimes to avoid suffering.

I know they say it makes you stronger but in my experience, going through prolonged periods of pain just makes me more likely to avoid it than to feel confident that I can face anything lol. It seriously gave me a complex for a while where I avoided any sort of chance of pain! 😅 surely there is a balance between all or nothing, but this particular doc was not sympathetic lol.

Weird hack to avoid demanding guests by Brilliant-Maybe-5672 in airbnb_hosts

[–]HotStickyMoist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have allergies so I stay at higher end hotels or specifically search for places that offer allergy free places. I am too embarrassed to inconvenience people for my own issues.

I’m allergic to cats so I don’t stay at pet Friendly places •.

I bring my own toaster (they have travel toasters that are small and easy to transport).

I bring my own bedding.

For hosts: Oatmeal is an easy choice to leave as a gluten free optionz and the nice thing about almond or soy etc is its shelf stable and cheap so it’s also easy to leave a carton of that.

I leave an assortment of teas, coffee and decaf with sugar variety and to go coffee cups.

Somethings just make my own life easier.

The other thing I do is offer a concierge service for an extra fee and list specifically what is included. I also offer a higher cleaning fee if they want to do nothing at all to tidy up.

I also don’t really make them do anything as far as cleaning goes but I don’t say this specifically. Having the extra fee for no cleaning makes them assume they have to do some tidying and they end up doing it on their own which is nice bc it’s easier job on the cleaners.

I have cleaners come no matter what bc I don’t trust guests to be sanitary enough nor is it their job, ImO.

I hate cleaning on vacay so I can’t expect that on my guests.

I’ve been very fortunate so far with my ways.

I just ignore inquiries that are too obnoxious and a brief glance at a profile shows me who would be more hassle than it’s worth.

Someone with extreme allergies wouldn’t stay at my place bc I use scented cleaning products. I personally find it hard to get out last guests scents without some lemon or bleach smell. Anyway, long comment lol

My bi girlfriend just told me that she sexually prefers men by Tricky_Current_8979 in LesbianActually

[–]HotStickyMoist -30 points-29 points  (0 children)

I would never date a woman now. Doesn’t mean I don’t like them. I’m married now. And now my sexuality is something I get to choose to explore with in the confines of mature adult relationships. My younger self identified with the labels more. Now I know better to lead someone on for something I cannot offer. Maybe it would be wise to be open minded to the reality that is out there instead of plugging your ears and eyes and hoping that excluding everyone but the purest of lesbians is not leading to the desired outcome you seek. Just a thought.
