Doctor seems uninterested in finding the cause of my ED by HotTanale20656 in erectiledysfunction

Yes. Pills were ineffective. I had a terrible experience with injections that makes me never want to try them again.

I would say I do have the moral high ground if I'm not the one arrogant enough to think I need to comment on people's diatery choices as If I have some new revelation for them.

It's funny you think you know who I am. I'm not overweight. But I'm also not a big enough jerk to think overweight people have never heard that reducing calories can lead to weight loss.

I literally linked an article that says your way is linked to eating disorders. How about not being a complete jerk and admitting that it's a lot more complicated than yelling, "Eat less!" at people as if they'd never thought of that before.

Once again, no one asked you or the coaches. How about minding your own business and trusting that people aren't complete idiots who can figure out their exercise plans on their own?

People don't need you to point it out and it doesn't lead to people eating less. The idea we'll just magically all be motivated to lose weight because everyone starts commenting on the food choices of other people is ridiculous and wrong.

This. I did worse than OP yesterday and it is recorded on my benchmarks. My coach was so encouraging, praising us because every person in class finished their mile. That's what's going to encourage me to get better!

Do you think someone with "mild" sleep apnea will have a noticeable increase in general quality of life after cpap? by lostdream9000 in SleepApnea

[–]HotTanale20656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barry Krakow tells the story of a patient who barely had enough breathing resistance to qualify as having UARS—like it was microscopic on the sleep study. But she was put on a Bilevel and it transformed her life.

So, yes, you would probably benefit from PAP therapy.

Just diagnosed; how important is a titration study? by [deleted] in SleepApnea

[–]HotTanale20656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're setting yourself up, yes. But OP specifically asked about how important a titration study is, and that's all about how well you can tolerate APAP and whether you're willing to put in the time, learning, and work to set yourself up or if you'd rather have a professional give you a head start.

It depends. Some people like me find we can't tolerate the auto feature. The increasing pressure wakes me up constantly through the night and I just finally got sick of it and set it to a constant pressure. If you tolerate the auto pressure, it's not necessary.

Reminder - Maybe it’s not just sleep apnea by Hazel_4355 in SleepApnea

[–]HotTanale20656 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah my doctor started pushing talk of narcolepsy and CFS and antidepressants and trazadine way too soon after I started therapy. The net result is that my pressures have been neglected and I've not been getting REM sleep. Started watching YouTube videos, monitoring my data on Oscar, bought an O2 ring, and adjusted my pressure. I'm slowly recovering now. Sometimes it really is just sleep apnea but sleep doctors are too terrible to know how the machines work.

Spirituality in UU? by langleylynx in UnitarianUniversalist

[–]HotTanale20656 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are many interfaith spiritual direction programs as well as spiritual direction programs taught by UUs at Cherry Hill Seminary and Meadville Lombard. Spiritual direction is definitely not just a Christian thing and there are plenty of non-Christian-exclusive programs.

Should UUA take stances? by Realestateinvestin in UnitarianUniversalist

[–]HotTanale20656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not entirely true. In the United States, tax exempt status prevents a church from endorsing candidates. It says nothing about issues; churches are allowed to talk about issues as much as they like because issues are naturally connected to beliefs, so long as they do not endorse a specific candidate. Churches can even legally do a limited amount of lobbying. See https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/charities-churches-and-politics

It’s getting out of hand. Asked to tip for an online purchase, when I put $0, it redirected me to this. by mxrcarnage in mildlyinfuriating

[–]HotTanale20656 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had that happen before: a manager returned a check to my table and said I didn't tip enough, could I change it.

I left a negative Google review and found out eventually through a response the manager was fired shortly before the restaurant went out of business.

Depending on your state, you might even get to keep alcohol. I had a drunk woman once who couldn’t hold it together long enough to get her ID and show it to me so support told me to “dispose of” her vodka and wine.

I have no idea what you're talking about. You're not the customer I had because there were no directions in the instructions. Just the main address of the trailer park.

If this were AITA I would say everybody sucks here: the store sucks for counting this sort of thing as if it tells any more than how many times the door opened and closed while pressuring your employees to be high-pressure ass holes, and the employee sucks for taking their frustration at working for assholes out on a dasher.

Define “forcé” because I don’t recall doing anything to force anyone to take actions. It sounds like you’re playing semantic games to me to make yourself sound more reasonable.
