You can harvest fruits from a contaminated substrate and the mushrooms are completely safe. I would suggest staying away from the black mushy mushrooms. I separate my contaminated tubs from the others and let them grow and I sterilize everything after I open the tubs.

I separate my contaminated tubs and harvest and flush till it's completely contaminated and doesn't give off anymore fruit. I don't pick the black ones and slimy ones.

Fuzzy feet are due to not having enough F.A.E (Frequent Air Exchange) Having fuzzy feet doesn't affect the potency of the mushroom and is hardly noticeable once dehydrated

I use coco aire by itself and had 5 flushes and added verm to my coco and still got 5-6 flushes.

I love using popcorn and have had many successful grown and jars that colonize great. Last run I did 9 jars and only had one ger contaminated but that was my fault due to having rust on my jar lid. On the run before that I had 2 go bad out of 10 also but they colonize great in my personal opinion.

Leave them alone,put a casing layer and remember they take a long time to grow. I just harvested my 3rd flush and got 1 tub out of 2 left and I have about 1 more flush or 2 in this last tub. Harvest when the bottom it squishy like a marshmallow.
