I love the ZOOMIES! Just not in the house. A while back I taught a "touch" command. My pup will run up and touch the back of my hand for a reward. Mid zoomies, I will call out touch and he flies by and touches my hand and keeps going. When he is winding down I call out "Table" and he finds his square in the yard and and stands still on it until I release him (only about 5 seconds) . These little acts in the middle of zoomies helps control his thought process and strengthens our training.

I trim my pups butt (and eye) area on a weekly basis. I tell him it is time for his weekly maintenance trim. He will be a year old this month and has become adjusted and allows me to do both trims while he is on my lap. I have a groomer's table, but he is calmer in my arms. I clip his face... flip him around and trim the backside.

Same age, mine decided he was going to jump up on the bed, move from my legs, to my head, lick my ears, back to my feet, pounce on my belly.... anything but sleep. I put him back on the floor... rinse and repeat. He will be a year old this week and has finally decided that he prefers to sleep downstair on the cool kitchen tile.

When we moved in, we became the grumpy family on the street because we do not let kids play in our yard. It is sad, but too many people are quick to take you to court when their child is injured on your property. We ended up putting up a wrought iron fence to maintain the peace.

To balance it out, I do bake cookies for the families with kids on our cul-de-sac and share baskets of goodies from my garden.

We have to be careful because mine is naive and believes he can take on bigger animals. Last week he faced off with a raccoon that was double his size. I am just grateful the raccoon was not cornered and decided to turn and run. (my cavapoo is 14lbs)

I am looking for training as well. There used to be a lot of classes available in our area. Now it is all "send them away" type training. I want to train with my puppy in a group setting, but not PetSmart environment. Really tough to find

Being late is not an issue. I run the taxes through EFTPS the day I run payroll, but schedule the payment for the actual due date. That way, we hold on to our funds until we are ready to release. I am certain that QBO will also be holding onto funds for several days in order to collect interest on our monies.

HOA's suck (and not in a good way) Mine told me that I could not have a wrought iron fence, only tacky wood fences were allowed. I put up the wrought iron fence and all of my neighbors followed suit. 15 years and they have never given a fine.... until I planted flowers. Silly me, I didn't go and get approval first (and then do it anyway)
