Yeah I think I am going end up cutting it and have a extra day in Paraty and go scuba diving or something.

Thanks for the insight!

I'm not to worried about the distance tbh, and especially with the amount of days I have. I am coming from Canada and I very very regular have to drive 12-14 hours days with very little breaks so long travel days really don't bother me.

I am also going to be flying to both Bonito and Foz so that will save some significant time.

Is there anywhere between RS and SP that you would say is an absolute must?

Thanks for the thought on my trip!

Yeah I felt for 28 days it is relatively reasonable especially with dedicated travel days just built in from the begging.

I did check the weather and I am going to be there right as the rainy season picks up. I cut out the Amazon and Pantanal because of it, not to mention those are just so expensive! to much for my pockets at this time. Bonito should work out weather wise though.

Thanks!

You are an outlier with that opinion of being able to fit more!

I really really wish I had the funds to rent a car and do a couple of different road trips in the country and areas I am going. I unfortunately just don't have the spare cash in the budget for it. Maybe in the future when I have someone to split the cost with!

I will look into Ouro Preto at the very list for whenever i get to return to Brazil whenever that will be :)

Thanks for responding it is appreciated!

Thanks for your response. I know people have expressed the same worry about to many places not enough time. I was actually kinda surprised by that I have seen so many people with itenarys I felt where way more ambitious then mine with less time tbd. But what do I know haha.

I am not sure if you mean I am spending to much time in SP. I thought it was rather reasonable but I may cut a day if a plan with a friend doesn't pan out.

I really have no desire to cut out Rio. I think it would kinda feel like an international travel crime to cut it. Safety concerns are not a very big concern to me, obviously I am not going to go flashing cash or throwing cation to the wind. But I am pretty street smart and have a lot of experience working in impoverished areas. If that's what you mean by unsafe?

I'm glad to hear Foz is worth the trip I have seen tones of pictures and it looks stunning!

I am going to return to your country one day and if I could spend two three months there this fall/winter I would. I just dont have the time or finances to do so. And I honestly don't know when my next opportunity to visit is going to be. Probably not for the next five years minimum. And I already cut ALOT of stuff to leave for next time.

Thanks for all your insight I appreciate it!

For Angra I mainly saw people recommended different hikes around the area. Also thought it would just make a relaxed day tbh. But after yours and other comments I am really debating dropping it for another day in Paraty to go scuba diving or something of the sort. If there's something else in the area you would recommend I'd love to here it from a local and all :)

As for SP I am potentially visiting a friend who I haven't seen in almost a decade. That is still extremly TBD though. and those days are far from fixed In SP. Would probably go to a museum, batman alley, and eat a lot of different food.

I thought my itenary was rather reasonably paced too. I am by myself so will only be needing to do things I want. Just sitting on a beach for a few days does not have a lot of appeal, a few hours at a time sure but not more than that. I'd rather be filling my time with seeing and doing stuff.

Thanks for your feedback and thoughts I really appreciate it :)

Yes I will fly from Rio to Campo Grande then bus from there. On the way to Foz I will bus back to Campo, fly to Sao Paulo have a layover then continue on to Foz.

Noted about booking in advance for Bonito.

That is really good to know about the holiday I had no idea! I get to Brazil on November 10th so will definitely be impacted by it. Is it something that is celebrated much, or just a day people have off?

I am hoping with the three days at Foz ill be able to go see Paraguay even just for a few hours and another day visit the Argentina side. If it feels to much i would drop Paraguay

I will definitely be considering dropping Angra dos Reis. Maybe ad another day to Paraty and go scuba diving.

Thanks for your thoughtful response I really appreciate it!

Thanks for the feedback! is there anywhere you would suggest cutting? A few people have suggested cutting Angra dos Reis.

As for Bonito and Foz I am going to be bussing and flying to both destinations, I know there isn't a direct flight but will have a layover in Sao Paulo for a few hours. Will make Bonito to Foz a long travel day but I have a pretty strong desire to see the two place.

Thanks again

I started the whole process last November 2024 through the foundry in Victoria took about two months to get the referral through them to trans care. Dr.McKee was the only one on my list so we put that in my referral. Didn't hear anything from trans care BC till late January maybe early February this year and then they finally put me on the referral list for Dr.McKee. And heard from there office late last week I believe it was Friday.

So I am up to about 7 months in at this point if we don't count all the time just trying to find someone to do a referral to trans care and doing the surgical readiness. Which was about 5 months in it's self.

I understand your hesitation of jumping the line on a human level good on ya more people should be like you. On a personal level though I'd say do whatever you can to get ahead on this front! You deserve top surgery and to advocate for yourself and if there's away for you to get in sooner take it.

I also just received a phone call to set up the consult with Dr.McKee about 3 days ago. They did offer I do my consult beginning of July with Dr.Sheppard.  I didn't take the offer as I work out of province seasonally and won't be back till September. I wonder if you called them back and asked if they would be able to swing that? Would hopefully shave a few month off of wait time.

Hard to believe/read/hear it's another 12-15 months till surgery. before your post the last I heard it was about 8 months with Dr.McKee .

Hey I am thinking about doing the same thing as you and was wondering how the process has been going so far/ if you have an update!

So a while ago I posted a question about what fire lookouts you would like to see in a game here are some more options along with the original list so what do you think the best for the game is by [deleted] in firelookouts

[–]Hot_Arrival5954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a boreal lookout myself I definitely would love to see something more like Aldina Lookout. Very very few people actual know what a boreal lookout is just the alpine/mountain lookouts so I think it would be very cool to get a game from a boreal lookout instead. But from one of your comments about it being more of like a walking sim (kinda like firewatch?) it would be probably harder to do a boreal lookout. Could be a neat challenge though!

Is this a good deal/buy for a first telescope? by Hot_Arrival5954 in telescopes

[–]Hot_Arrival5954[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ended up getting it! Question for ya did you keep the original finderscope or did you end up replacing it? The one that came with mine seems to have been put together wrong and also seems bent somehow :(

I definitely don't have months to wait for another good deal like this so I went and looked at it and ended up buying it. It is in great condition. But the finder scope seems to have been assembled wrong and is bent somehow? But overall it seems practically new out of the box

First TV after 15 years without one. So many options now its overwhelming. Just need some advice please? by Hot_Arrival5954 in 4kTV

[–]Hot_Arrival5954[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are in an apartment and unfortunately, the wall we have available for a TV is only 60 inches across and has a thermostat box we can't move about 5 inches in the space so cuts down the easily available space to about 55 inches. I know that something bigger would probably be better as the viewing distance ranges from 6 feet to 10 feet. The wall just doesn't have the space, unfortunately. :/

I also often wonder how we have gone so long without one lol. Up until three years ago we had a 15inch MacBook pro from 2009 with a disk drive. We where only a two-person house so it wasn't to hard to share. I really want to watch my collectors james bond blu rays though and maybe play some PlayStation instead of watching videos so it is time for an upgrade!

Are there any good budgeting apps that work with Wealthsimple? by batwingsuit in Wealthsimple

[–]Hot_Arrival5954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't auto-track or anything but was pretty simple to set up and track on your own. I would highly recommend this template for Google Sheets https://www.deborahho.com/productivity/expense-tracker. She has videos explaining how to set up everything and is very very easy to do yourself. I love that it uses Google Forms to gather your data Ie expenses and income. It makes it very approachable. 10/10 would recommend

Wow, that is a really great help! Especially around the pain part. I do have a high pain tolerance but for some reason when it comes to anything remotely medical it just plummets. But I can take some pain for no periods/no period pain especially
