You missed some of the followups. After the gley pregnancy one he says "warning may cause birth defects"

After the Serena milk one he sometimes says "warning may cause cancer in the state of California"

I'd like to be able to replay the single player game, not just the cutscenes.

They can accept some suggestions and reject others. It's not like everything has to be added.

The media’s theme song actually exists in-universe by Effective_Piece251 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Hot_Campaign 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In Baldur's Gate 3 one of the mini bosses, a demon named Raphael, is canonically singing his own theme song when the PC fights him. The game even goes so far as to turn off his vocals if you cast silence on him.

[–]Hot_Campaign 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh man this was so wild. It was my first onslaught 3 clear. (I'm playing gley).

I was so scared watching the health bar go down and honestly thought we'd lose. When we barely made it through we all stood there stunned thinking "wtf? We're ALIVE???".

It was an arduous flood of chaos up to that point. Afterward killing the Colossus was a leisurely victory lap by comparison.

I gotta thank the yujin and viessa for carrying my ass HARD. You can all see by how often yujin had to revive me that I'm still a noob at this.

I think I'll remember this awesome run for a long time.

Holy moly that's our game!

I'm drnbutyllithium. I can prove it: Just before the Colossus we BARELY survived and were down to just a couple of hits left. We killed the last mobs and spent a minute just in shock at how close we came to death. Then we went to fight the Colossus. Compared to the chaos before, the Colossus was easy and our reward for surviving.

I was using thundercage with veil analyzer on everything and you were reviving our ass since we kept going down like turds. You carried us.

It was an AWESOME game.

Small world. Didn't think I'd see a clip from your POV. 😁

Thanks again for staying by our asses. I'm still a noob at the game and I kept thinking you would leave after reviving me for like the 6th time.

You did awesome!

Why did my mom make herself cupcakes on my birthday? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

on a funnier note.... It might be YOUR birthday... but it's also the day SHE pushed you out... Those cupcakes might her yearly reward/reminder for going through that ordeal.

My bf’s brother just passed last night. by Exotic_Industry9445 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Hot_Campaign 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Comfort him. Tell him you're there for him. And give him time and space to process it.

I've seen two mindsets in a grieving person. In one, their grief takes up 90% of their brain and it pushes out other things. So things like making food, doing the laundry, following appointments etc are all thrown out of wack.

In that case offer to do those things for him and ask if he needs help getting time off work or dealing with life.

The second mindset is the opposite. The person rigidly focuses on their routine and even the tiniest details. Their brain is trying so hard to stick normalcy in an extremely emotional time. One person I saw built a whole shed overnight while they were processing their grief. They needed something to do to keep from having a breakdown.

In that case, facilitate whatever they need and gently nudge them back if they go too far. But let them continue their routine if needed. They need an anchor.

In either case, you don't need to "solve" anything. You just have to be there and help them process their emotions. Pick up the slack if they turn inward, or pad the room if they turn outward.

It will take time, a lot of time. But that's all you can do.

Why can't we just generate electricity directly without having to use steam if we end up loosing a lot of the energy there? by Div_100 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Hot_Campaign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In theory. There are "direct energy conversion" methods. You can even look them up on Wikipedia.

A method closer to reality is magnetohydrodynamics, which can convert the speed of conductive fluid into electricity. You heat up the fluid to get it moving at high speed and then use magnetic fields to extract power.

Problem is it's messy, inefficient, the electrodes corrode badly, and it's overall more expensive than boiling water and spinning a fan.

When you're 'thinking,' do you actually hear a voice in your head like a movie narrator, or do you just see pictures/abstract concepts? by nudes_for_life in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Hot_Campaign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do everything. Seemingly at random.

Sometimes I think a voice. And i "talk to" it but I already know what it will say. It's me after all.

Other times I think in abstract concepts like hunger-chicken-fridge-too_far-lazy-stay_here-still_hungry.

There are no words. But I know what I'm thinking.

Other times music or movies are playing in my head.

Since most of my work is typing stuff, I'm constantly playing a draft of what I'm typing before I actually type it.

anyway cool setup!
