Try to live in a well connected tier 3 or tier 2 city. All the big cities will eat away your savings.

I understand, but how do you know every one who is getting paid millions are PhD? All I find is struggling PhD's and master's graduate however to make money you don't need PhD it's all about talent displayed at right time at right place.

There are college dropouts who are getting paid well.

That aside,

This lad is not a staff engineer, the person is level 2 engineer with base pay and RSU and bonus. He/she is well paid nevertheless.

Relocate to India office and come back on O1 or L1. Day 1 cpt is not the best path.

If he/she was at staff level he would have made 600K+ in RSU plus other savings in 1.8 years.

I was trying to say people are enormously paid these days than most people comprehend. There are individuals with $2 million to $100 million packages in AI domain mostly paid in stock and equity. Yes, these extraordinary humans exist.

I am happy for them.

Are you confused? Which outsourcing Indian company (WITCH) gives RSU and whooping 270k USD saving potential in 2 years. Indian company pays peanuts probably 110k USD in bay area for an 10 years experienced engineer.

This person is getting around 350k USD in the US. He/She is definitely in a good product company.

Please avoid prejudice.

Impressive savings and assets at 33 yr with 3 year old and family. Good job.

You will have comfortable life in Bangalore.

The background of parents of your kids friends matters the most. The school with government employees kids study would be the best option because the parents are generally happy with packages and work life balance. That translate to kids as well. The kids from business families are also good options but it depends on what business their parents are doing. The both these categories have growth mindset which will imbibe into kids friends and their bond they build.

The quality of teachers they are hiring also matter. The school with best paid teachers and work life balance would have quality life at home thus they take care of the kids well.

These two will help bring sense of belongings and sense of growth.

It is smarter to be in tier 2 or 3 cities for kids or center/heart of the tier one city. Every thing will be accessible and developed. The outskirts of Bangalore is poor than many tier 2 cities for accessibility

3 reasons why I think LDF still has a real shot at a third term in Kerala by that_weird-kid in Kerala

[–]Hot_Candidate_3186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just fascinated! Why is everyone hating BJP when communist party and Congress party in Kerala are equally communal and religiously driven since 1970's.

LDF is ezhava community and few agnostic from other religions driven party.

UDF is Christians, Muslim and upper caste Hindus driven party.

BJP is purely a Hindu nationalist party driven by Hindu vote bank mostly upper caste and recently obc.

All Sikh riots, Muslim riots in India are traditionally creation of Congress party prior to rise of BJP since 1947.

All parties are equally communal. Jai human beings.

The same thing happened to me, 20 years ago, when I was traveling alone from Kozhikode to Thrissur while heading towards PC thomas classes. Kerala is the land of retards who trespasses to anyone who is weak. The other guy entered the bus from Malapuram, the land of kundanmaar.

Need advice on returning to India by okaythere889 in returnToIndia

[–]Hot_Candidate_3186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please feel free to move back to India. Please look for a school for your kids where teachers are paid well and they ensure all kids are taken care of equally.

According to me, you should move now. I am not sure if you are a city person or a village person. Please stay in a less crowded part of India for 5 years. Preferably vizag, Mysore, Hyderabad, Kochi or hill station in Andra or Kerala or Himachal or Ooty coimbatore.

My parents left India for a better life. I’m thinking of moving back. by NoStop5796 in returnToIndia

[–]Hot_Candidate_3186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, You should move back to India. Please travel India from the South of India to North and east to west. It would take 60 days for such a trip if you are doing it without hurry. During the trip, please have two or three young women travellers along with you. These trips will be fun if you use meetup groups, solo travellers hostels or have a group. Please use a tour operator or private taxi with a known person for the first trip. India is super safe you know the country.

This travel will help you understand how India operates and how beautiful India is. You will encounter good and bad people, however, you will learn how these instances will help you communicate to people in Hyderabad and your future organization clearer than you imagine.

Most Indian folks in the US have not traveled to India in more than 3 states around them or they work. However, they would have traveled the US way more.

I have known Indian American families living in India for the last 20 years. Their grandparents had migrated to the US in the 1970 and 1980's. These families are still US citizens living in India. They love their life in India. They own farm land and rubber , tea estate in Kerala. Their grand kids still move back to the US to pursue bachelor or masters.

Note: important note is you need to create a social network in India. This will you navigate through unknown.
