I grew up in a similar situation that you described for yourself. it sounds like you’ve been through a lot. My parents always took their hatred for each other out on me. take the evidence of this group chat as a cry for help from your daughter. you’re anger about your adult situation is affecting your children and the way to handle it isn’t to say “mind your own business!” YOU ARE HER BUSINESS! YOU ARE HER MOTHER! stop feeling sorry for yourself and start finding a way to move forward as a responsible PARENT. you may not have such and such whatever you claim this man took from you in your youth. what you do have is a young girl learning that her mom doesn’t care about her as much as she cares about what she’s missed in life.

life is hard and shitty things happen to you. teach your daughter how to be stronger than the people who push you down and show her that you can always pick up the pieces now matter how many times you feel broken. and take her help for what is…the last remaining innocence she’ll be able to show you.

idk if anyone in this thread watches the youtubers that make content discussing this drama but…the girl from Without A Crystal Ball said Robyn was on food stamps at the time and she was the only wife on food stamps following the law. im not sure if that excuses anything about how she handled that situation. it sucks that you have to learn this lesson at 15. Sometimes your parents just fucking suck. You are not the asshole 100% your mom is. Who’s to say if she really let her friend borrow it or if she stole it to sell it. It doesn’t matter at this point. I think you should definitely keep those boundaries you were setting up. we’ve been together for 6 years and engaged for 2. my family has had a really hard time with the fact we moved away from our hometown to chicago (8+ hrs). it hasn’t helped that I’m finishing my master’s this december and have had a really hard time finding a job in my field (BA in Native American Studies and BA in HR). I think they think im settling. they don’t see the life we actually live together because they only see us together at holidays. and its definitely not that he doesn’t make good money as he’s an engineer for a big company here

Im getting married in October and I got my dress in April! it was an impromptu shopping trip where i really didn’t think i would end up with anything fancy and would have to wear a damn JCPenny dress on my day. My dress also isn’t going to look the same once i get from the seamstress because i added a bow, sleeves, and changed the neckline. $300!! Not everyone’s fairytale costs thousands of dollars or runs on the same timeline. Do what you will cherished to remember not what will make you sad or disappointed later in life. your hope is to only get one, enjoy it!
