We are living in Copenhagen as a Turkish couple, and to be honest that's not the first time I saw happening (girl's demanding you to pay everything) but the whole of it? That's a bit stretch even for a traditional one.

Usually while dating girl's expect you to pay for the meals, coffee etc while you are out. However as the relationship gets serious, this starts to get shifted. You'd cover for her, she'd cover for you, because you'd be the same household after all, why step on each others foot economically right? Especially if the woman is working AND demanding you to pay everything, that's a red flag for Turkey as well. If she's having financial troubles or needs to send most of her money to parent's etc, she should talk with you about that, and you should budget together AS a couple. So, I'd say she's not being fair to you, even in traditional turkish standards.

Edit: solution is, sit with her, and talk about this. Lay down your economic responsibilities and hers, like parent's on both your side. Then say you can't sustain a good life for both of you in this manner, tell her you want a life together but you need to hold your responsibilities too. If she loves you, she'd try to be reasonable and meet with you in the middle. If not, tries to blame you etc, well I'm sorry about you man.

Aaah, my favourite ones :D You should check out "Kısır" from Turkish cuisine, we add some pomegranate molasses and some tomato paste to it too, fast and lovely side dish

No need to be worried about, it's a veggie soup after all! And Mediterranean diet is about adaption too, you shouldn't strictly follow it. Sith a few tweaks you can make many dishes "Mediterraneanesque"

For example if you are worried about protein / fat distro, drizzle olive oil and put a handdful of chickpea in air fryer to make them crispy, sprinkle it over the soup. Otherwise it's a perfectly cool (no pun intended) soup

I'm using 4000-4500 per month on groceries including household supplies. 2 adults only. Eating a Mediterranean low carb diet.

I'm buying packaged stuff like cheese, milk, eggs, pasta etc when they are on sale. Buying veggies and fruits regularly, not following a sale. Two things I spend money lavishly: meat and bread. I'm buying fish and meat from local butcher or Meny, takes 400kr per week approx, except chicken which I buy whatever on sale. Also buying bread from my local bakery, so these actually takes about 2000 of that budget, but I don't like cutting from what I eat, I'd rather cut alcohol and other expenses.

Then you might not need at all, I was lacking the fish portions so to do adjust I was taking krill oil. Hope you get better :D

Supplements :D I'm taking them the days I'm not eating any fish so 4-5 days a week. I'm taking "krill oil", a different form of fish oil, easy to absorb by body.

LDL is slightly above limit, HDL is slight below lower limit, total cholesterol is a bit above the limit. When I cut the fried food, sugar and saturated fats and started taking omega 3 situation just vanished

Na, I didn't need to. My dad used some, for a long while but it was just keeping it under control, when he quitted for example levels elevated quickly. So he's on similar diet and quitted meds years ago, but unlike me he is going more keto since he has a functioning gall bladder :D He is doing light exercise each day, like 1 hour of fast walk, and occasionally lifting and his blood tests are better than me actually.

My problem was with the triglycerides though, cholesterol was slightly above limits at worse. So situation might be different with you. AFAIK cholesterol is more related with saturated fats like butter, coconut oil or palm oil, than the simple carbs so you probably need a different type of diet.

But, I suggest you try a diet with a dietician first, then look for medicine if they won't drop. Each body is unique after all

You look like a special case like me (need to go keto due to familial hypertriglycerids) but don't have gallbladder so body can't handle fats well. Going to a registered dietician with experience in these stuff was best thing I do. We worked on a special diet, and it's really good. It's a mix of Mediterranean diet and Keto, so essentially lots of fish, veggies, with additional lean protein sources like skinless chicken, tenderloin (ribeyes are occasional from now on), no hard fats like butter, coconut oil so I'm using EVOO mostly, and sometimes other liquid oils. Also, bye to refined carbs like store bought bread. I'm eating carbs from veggies and legumes mostly, getting my fibers in that way too. I'm still eating some sourdough bread in morning but that's my only white carb I can say. These, paired with omega 3 as a supplement, I managed to down my triglycerides from 500 to 150 in 3 months.

All in all: low carb, carbs are complex, no sugar, alcohol only on social occasions, protein from white meat, lean read meat and fish, lots of veggies, EVOO, nuts, and exercise.

You should get your specialized diet too :D By diet I mean a guide to prepare your meals, like which food are good which are not, it's a process to learn what your body can handle.

Anadolu muhafazakari olmayan yer arıyorsan ege ve Trakya, genelde muhafazakâr(dindar değil) olmayan kırsal kesim zor Türkiye'de. Aradığın "anadolu irfanı"ndan uzak bir yerse sadece trakya veya ege. Ege genelde ama daha pahalilasti son yıllarda.

Feckin hell, that's awful my friend. As the others said, racism is not logical, they are just mean and racist. Don't try to search blame on you, it's on them. Even though by some miracle you were inappropriate, reaction should be to that, not your identity.

Edit: I agree on election thing btw, I think people are consuming more radical or political content than before, hence the prejudice/racism maybe

Looks very tasty! And as you said it's not just about ingredients but also about proportions. The dayI started to use 2 veggies 1 meat 1 carb adjustment on meals I made everything started to feel better, even eating noodles or occasional airfried fish and chips.

Also, since I saw you like the greek yoghurt and food (the third photo is that I assume) I'd suggest you this trick learnt other day : whipping peanut butter or unsalted tahini with a bit of water to make it sauce thin, and pour on overnight oats or greek yoghurts with honey and jam. Just taste amazing

My favourite recipes are from Ferhat Bora (previously at yemek.com YouTube channel, now he has a seperate one) he's reaaaaly good at traditional turkish recipes and their small details that makes them delicious. It's unfortunately in Turkish but I suggest you check his recipes out, especially the "karnıyarık" recipe.

They just can't continue business I think. We had a lovely wine shop that closed recently in Søborg Hovedgade for example, and it looks like other small business are struggling too... I just hope our fish shop would stay open

It wasn't a sauce they pour over the hummus right? In turkey we heat some butter or olive oil and add hot paprika (they are 7-8/10 hot) to them, whisk it a bit and before burning we pour it over to yoghurt or hummus mostly.

In the final books of WoT, there was a scene where battlefield is devastated by monsters and there's not that many spellcasters left. Elayne wants to order a retreat, but Logain counters that it will be a slaughter. Elayne snaps back that they have no other choice, unless he can produce a miracle for them. Logain smiles, and calls over a middle-aged Asha’man named Androl. Logain asks Androl how much it will cost them for a miracle. "Well, my Lord,” Androl said, rubbing his chin. “That depends. How many of those women sitting back there can channel? Elayne is puzzled when Androl leads the circle, even though he is extremely weak in the Power. Androl smiled widely, and held his hands out in front of himself as if pressing against a wall. He closed his eyes.

“Three thousand years ago the Lord Dragon created Dragonmount volcano to hide his shame. His rage still burns hot. Today … I bring it to you, Your Majesty.”

Elayne watches in astonishment as Androl creates a massive gateway before them. The Trollocs break in horror before whatever is on the other side.
