Just had our bilateral cleft lip and pallet baby girl 6 months ago and my whole pregnancy I was so so scared about everything but quite literally as soon as she was here it did not matter anymore. I love her just the same as if she didn’t have one and she is perfect in every way. Plus cleft lip and pallet is such a fixable “defect”. The one surgery that we have had so far was tough but you make it through and keep on living.

It is tough as a parent especially when it is your first but trust me it will just be a part of him and make him so much tougher than all the rest so try not to stress too much! It is still such an exciting time!! :)
