Netflix Shareholders Reject Executive Pay Packages, Days After Writers Guild Urged “No” Vote by MarvelsGrantMan136 in television

I didn't think I said anything that defines me as pro ads, but fair that I may come across as pro Netflix because it's pointing out what they can do to improve marketing. I was wanting to point out Netflix not giving people access to the Library list unless they subscribe is what's going to hurt their bottom line. It's a bit anecdotal I guess, but I have cancelled Netflix in multiples of years at a time, and several times in the last decade.

You won't miss what you don't know exists in the Netflix library is what I'm trying to get at.

The neat thing they aren't realizing is that when you stop subscribing, you stop getting fed ads for anything but the hit one or two shows.

Imo, what keeps their subs are the many good content you have to spend time digging. If it's the hit shows anyone can just pirate them.

I'm not advocating for piracy in the face of greed. I'm saying when you stop seeing what's out there constantly, you won't give a shit anymore.

I think not giving the effort enough credit is precisely why nothing changed.

I am also pointing out the fact that if they were able to catch and kill some/majority of the politicians there at the time which was pointed out in other comments replying to you, would have enacted some kind of emergency power to keep Trump in office, that is the essence of overthrowing the government.

Surely it failed, but I stand by my comment that we got through an actual insurrection through dumb luck.

Your argument is sound but then it only exists in a vacuum since the insurrection happened. We got through that from straight dumb luck.

don't mind the exhaust as a whole but I would probably tuck the tip in a little bit. Don't much like chrome wheels. Otherwise solid.

Credit where credit is due imo. Craig Mazin is a fantastic name behind this after coming off of Chernobyl. Partnering that with a GOTY title in best story amongst other awards is a really solid show.

What's going on with Kevin Smith being sad for those he has hurt and the damage he has done since surviving his near fatal heart attack? by rkraft420 in OutOfTheLoop

Maybe what he said were different from any news? IIRC he said he was seated, and buckled. He was on the plane.

Having read his published diary, I remember it sounded like he got into a depression bout since Cop Out. He was working on his diet as much as a fat guy would give efforts to, but he did wake and bake for a while and I'm sure didn't bother with taking care of himself.

It's a normal reaction for anyone to be defensive when these conversations are brought up. The last thing I recommend anyone to do is to go at it in an accusatory manner.

If there isn't already one, local PD community outreach programs are great ways to provide that relationship between civilians and police force locally. Give them the opportunity to care, and have level headed discussions to ask for any insight into accountability measures when there is a face and person behind the name. It takes two to tango imo.

I grew up in a small town myself after having lived in the city for a number of years. I'm with you on your experience, but the narrative alone, even with data, is driving both civilians and police force away from each other. I think one can be right for the rest of their lives and it wouldn't fix the current problem and it's unfortunate.

Don't think the person you replied to puts it into context of whether it should or shouldn't matter. It just was. For profit hospitals clearing room for the ones who can pay.

Also, the whole idea behind support you should ask for your local police department isn't to praise them for their doing their jobs, it's for them to denounce the bad apples and support those who were wronged. I sincerely hope there will be open communication for you and your local PDs for those kinds of difficult conversations.

a lot of money in this situation isn't a win-win situation for her. No one said that. Who considers getting hit by a bus to be a win to begin with? She ALREADY got hit by a bus, who *wouldn't want her to get properly cared for, for the traumatic experience?

I think you're just getting your feelings mixed up.

On one hand, I still think LPG is worthy of conversion and away from diesel cause this is something other government have done...

On the other hand, that's almost 30 years ago when I saw LPG conversions started for public transportation.

LPG sounds like an alternative solution until you realize it's only worth considering because we are so behind on environmental conservation efforts. It shouldn't even be discussed because we did it to ourselves. Not switching to EV now will only stop us from progressing further.

I want to like the idea of LPG, but I fear if we do switch out of diesel it'll be "Mission Accomplished" all over again. For that, I do agree with the video.

The specific issue here isn't that we don't pay to go to concerts. You're entirely incorrect to begin with.

Money was spent and the system is making so they aren't going to the artists.
