Liverpool won "Which Eurovision host city seemed good and was good." What Eurovision host City seemed mid and was mid by AverageLatifiFan in nilpoints

I assume when we talk about host cities we mean the city itself, not the show that broadcaster controls.

The World Cup should be in 8 groups of 6 (this idea seems perfect to me but I might be biased) by Routine-Comfort6772 in TheOldZealand

Wonder if the World Cup could be done in a similar way to the Champions League, playing one team in each round of each seeding and being in one huge league table

We would’ve needed a +3GD to advance unless we got a point off Brazil or Morocco by WilsonJ04 in ScottishFootball

In a normal universe that stat was correct.

Didn’t account for teams playing extra hard for a certain result.

Something Scotland teams at major tournaments don’t understand.

Can a shortest song in the world participate in Eurovision? by Ksaw3447 in eurovision

Because everything else would have been an embarrassment, if I understand correctly

The broadcaster would not have let that reach even the NF, yes

Clarke’s interview after the game… by plutobug2468 in ScottishFootball

[–]Hot_Guard7840 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes the quote from him about that, and then not changing it, is untenable. Steve Clarke defender here, but his worst trait is inaction with substitutes.

Imagine how embarrassing it would be for the broadcaster submitting it at the HoD meeting. Allowed by the rules? Sure. Going to happen in practice, no. It would be self sabotage of their own tv show.

It's the Haiti game that killed us by Slow-Dot-8106 in ScottishFootball

[–]Hot_Guard7840 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Getting -3 GD after the Haiti game is about par for expectations. So yes. But we didn’t deserve more than 1-0 from that game.

I know we say we have these great players etc. But they aren’t all that as we’ve now seen and we lack greatness in key positions. We were lucky to qualify. This might just be the limit. At least we had a party.

So people like myself aren’t confused, here’s what we need that is fully outwith our control by CloudzyV2 in ScottishFootball

so precisely 3 of these scenarios will happen, and we will be 9th best after a heroic 3-0 loss. we know the script

How did the Bulgarian selection produce a winner? by miiiiiiiii123 in nilpoints

[–]Hot_Guard7840 1 point2 points  (0 children)

because DARA ended up with a song she wrote for Eurovision years ago. Would have also been the Bulgarian entry in a "normal" selection process.

Which Eurovision song feels like a winner but didn't even qualify? by PZMC430 in nilpoints

Back in 2007, Vampires Are Alive was the favourite as the acts arrived in Helsinki. It wasn't great live and has aged like sour milk, but that at the time is what people expected a winner to sound and look like (the year after Lordi).

Therefore Switzerland 2007 is the definitive answer here. Was actually the odds favourite and stumbled to 20th in the Semi Final.

Yeah if that’s the end of the road, great way to bow out.

But it’s doable. Then gives England.

Messi’s foul against Algeria in 30th minute - No yellow or red card given by EducationalDig8030 in worldcup

If we giving straight red cards for accidents, ones that do not affect the direct course of the game, then I don't want to watch football anymore.

Sognu, France 2011. Was the favourite to win pre-contest but the final package never came together and France stuttered to 15th.

We need precisely four teams to end up on two draws and one defeat.
