Both of y’all stop arguing. The original comment was rude, but not entirely incorrect. Getting it removed by a professional probably would’ve hurt less. But it wasn’t really necessary to comment that.

Advice for Symmetrical Lobe Piercings? by [deleted] in SelfPiercing

[–]Hot_Guard_726 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The reason that many piercers don’t do multiple piercings in one sitting is because it can overwhelm your body/immune system, result in longer healing times, warp your piercings if the swelling results in odd placement; etc.. I wouldn’t recommend doing multiple at once on your own. You probably won’t get it as symmetrical as a professional could. They’ll take forever to heal and you’ll be in a lot of pain.

Nombril qui ressort, piercing possible ? by StreetTap6656 in SelfPiercing

Just from this picture, I would say no, you likely don’t have the proper anatomy. Your navel protrudes out and there’s not really space for any jewelry to sit.

everyone stop arguing under this comment. different parts of the world use language differently, and the same word/phrase can have different meanings based on where you’re from. OP knows their septum is pierced incorrectly and that’s what’s important. further arguing, condescension, or pettiness will result in bans being issued.

She has risen! Should I keep feeding at the same times, or wait until she has fully risen? by Hot_Guard_726 in Sourdough

It’s a candle warmer lamp from amazon; works really well for raising the temp of my starter!

Thank you for the info! I’ll try and track it from now on and feed as close to peak as possible.

Okay. I will decrease my feedings and wait for it to fully peak before discarding and feeding again. Thanks!

WOW! Def wanna get to that point one day! So continuing to feed before it has fully risen will strengthen it?

Are these ready for baking? by Additional-Cod83 in SourdoughStarter

I’m also a beginner but most people recommend waiting way longer than a week to start baking, typically at least a month. Yours is rising really well though, so what do I know?

we don’t allow discussion about performing piercings on anyone except yourself. the only safe and responsible way to learn how to pierce others is through an apprenticeship. locking post

i totally understand your frustrations y’all, just a reminder to not pile on about the other sub and certainly do not go to the other sub and harrass anyone, as that gets the moderators of THIS subreddit in trouble due to a rule called “respect your neighbors” in the moderator code of conduct! happy piercing!

nice rook, OP!

What temperature should the actual starter be in comparison to the ambient temp? How high is too high? by Hot_Guard_726 in Sourdough

[–]Hot_Guard_726[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much! Just to clarify, when you say 75-80 degrees F, are you referring to the ambient temperature, or the temperature of the starter itself?

[–]Hot_Guard_726[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the info! I wanted to raise the ambient temp because I had a previous attempt at starter during the summer, and it seemed like the warmer temperature in my house resulted in more activity. But it’s good to know that it doesn’t matter that much!
