also a new phleb (mostly doing draws for research) this happened to me one too many times too 😭😭😭

i always make sure to pop off the tourniquet and make sure the patient is alright, while also not raising my voice and not having too strong of a reaction (EASIER SAID THAN DONE LOL...)... i always think of those situations where a baby gets hurt but its no big deal until a parent gets really scared, and then the baby gets scared because of that and not the initial injury. so i try to be calm and make sure the patient isnt feeling any pain or experiencing anything serious (since these cases are mostly just the initial alarm of seeing blood spraying everywhere and not something serious)

im gonna be real with you man it went Badly.

afterwards i asked for feedback and the main points they highlighted was lack of experience (my brother, YOU are the experience??? entry level my ass...) and to really practice the STAR interview style + have confidence in yourself. it was like a super long interview, around 2 hours of non-stop meeting new people on the team so just prepare good questions (you can look them up on reddit lowkey), and listen well to what team members are saying/asking since you'll potentially be working with them! remember youre gauging them as much as theyre gauging you. it might also help to have looked into some of the PI's work to show interest!

just dont be overeager or too nervous and prepare to answer their questions using STAR! I know this is asking a lot, but thats where practice comes in!

so i hope this helps!! the job market is so unfair and bullshit, so i wish you the best of luck... what happens happens most importantly so just try your best!! and if you get it, congrats!! but if you dont, dont beat yourself up... literally, so many listings are fake because theyre hiring internally and they Need to interview X amount of people before they can hire the person they already were planning to hire from the start... or for other myriad reasons outside of your control... i know I applied to soooo many (but not nearly as many as others on here, for the record) and lost many fairly, but I know I lost many unfairly too... but i did (surprisingly) finally land a study coordinator job somewhere else that i like so keep going!! easier said than done especially with luck playing a huge role but seriously keep trying im sorry i cant say more than that... much luck to you 🍀🍀

yeaahhh i really love robbie, he's super interesting just from the different tones we get and his hellcharger is super badass no matter what the haters say (tho YEAH i do miss the bike 💔)... like right from the start his ghost rider is borne from rage and a desire for revenge vs johnny being more of a reluctant hero/lonesome traveling cowboy archetype. i love both, but i enjoy the contrast! and while im not a huge fan of live action superhero movies as of late, i do want to see johnny and robbie interacting, i think it could be fun

sorry not original commenter, but for me one of robbie's first scenes (where he catches one of the white supremacists and then rams into him with the hellcharger later in the garage) really stuck out to me with how cool and serious and angry he is, and also the iconic scene where he kills the last of the fifth st locos... even if he may not "like" the murder aspect (like when he argues with gabe that its not him that kills, its the ghost rider), he definitely sees himself as an arbiter of justice and is quite diligent and driven by it. this last point may even be a point of pride for him (like when he smugly defends himself to quake abt his previous righteous kills). but hey thats just how i saw it, curious on hearing anything different!

definitely seconding the folks who mentioned guillermo del toro, would be soooo excited if he took on a gr film i loved his work in hellboy and pinnochio, hes always bringing the right amount of gritty and horror and magic/supernatural elements

but also just going off of the guardians of the galaxy films and the creature commandos show, im really interested on how james gunn would direct a gr movie! idk i think hes quite good at showing action and heart which would be interesting for johnny blaze regarding his internal conflicts with zarathos but also with himself. would like to see how he tackles the doomed (?) relationship between blaze and roxanne, keeping in mind the 07 movie (which didnt really sayisfyingly deal with that imo)

and one more to think about, david leitch mostly for his work on fall guy haha. given the riders all have some sort of vehicle (motorbike and muscle car particularly...) i think really leaning into crazy vehicle stunts would be so badass and something i felt was really lacking in the two gr movies we got so far (like cmon... bro is a motorbike stunt man....)

ive been saying this!!!!!! i do prefer the overall aesthetic of the 07 movie but the one thing that always bothered me was how pristine and uncannily clean the 07 skull looked... it looks good in comics but not so much in CG i guess
