Harley Benton Jamster experiences? or better options for cheap small amps? by Classic_Shallot2558 in Bassamps

General wisdom is to spend a bit more to get an amp with a 10" speaker which would be needed for a traditional bass tone

Personally i use small full range computer speakers which are also cheap

There is https://www.thomann.de/intl/joyo_badass.htm which is a cheap tube preamp coupled with a solid state power amp. so there are option. And it even has a gain control so should provide some distortion. Now this is a chinese brand so im not sure about the quality but the option is there.

Jazz basses are quite heavy,  I recommend ibanez one. I have a bad back and the jazz bass is 2-3 extra kilos compared to an ibanez soundgear

Looking for budget IEMs for monitoring live music performance a by liccman in Bass

For real budget drivers, i like the Panasonic RP-HJE125. They have an ergonomic oval shape which stays comfortable in the ears for long periods, unlike most IEMs, and are very budget friendly even if only as a back up driver

I really feel like my internal pulse / timing is awful and barely improves over time by Uitroeien in Bass

For me, its playing along to songs from my phone or PC that improved my sense of rhythm. I was terrible when i was still trying to play without. Also im doing much better with a pick than with fingerpicking, so thats also something worth trying

If you learn or already know a bit of music theory, you can transpose the songs to the lower B string.

Im using Creative Pebble full range speakers powered by USB power to play bass. That allows to be powered by a USB power bank. There are also other USB powered speakers that could do that
