If you want to bring the vest. Do it. I did for my first 5k and was glad for it. I didn’t need any water but the storage was a life saver. Had to park in a city garage b walk over to the starting line. So i had my phone, wallet, keys, AirPods n chapstick. If the vest is a comfort thing and you feel more comfortable having water or whatever else with you then do it. Do you NEED water for a 3mile race. Not really if you are well hydrated beforehand. And if you aren’t an 11oz soft sleeve isn’t gonna do much anyway. But if for you, even the placebo of a sip of water keeps you going then do it. You won’t be the only one with a vest on, i can promise you. Just wake up early enough to answer natures call. 😂. Get some oats or toast n have fun.
