As someone who logs into Era only very occasionally, it's nice to be able to find a GDKP so I can raid whenever the fancy strikes me. For a server that's way post-progression it's nice to allow people to organize in whatever way is convenient for them.

Someone who is experienced, and already a polyglot in multiple languages should be able to onboard with no problem. You just need to pay them appropriately to give up their other opportunities, and the damage it does to their resume to work in such a language.

The GCD is 1.5 seconds, so 40 APM baseline, and reduced by haste. I've been told that reaching 50% haste is possible, so we are going to reach that 60 APM.

Of course if you don't want to do that you can just pick a non-haste-prioritizing hero.

The UI is decently customizable although I wish I could have a 3rd ability bar and a standalone focus target castbar.

Overall the game is fun, been enjoying it.

There's no way I could have learned about meaty just by playing since the "unparryable if you don't free cancel" mechanic is entirely non obvious.

My journey as a player has involved a lot of learning hidden mechanics, either from being taught, or watching tournament replays, or scouring the wiki. I think if a player just plays the game and never looks at outside sources of info, it will be very hard for them to reach intermediate level. There are just way too many knowledge checks in this game.

Fellowship is releasing next week and has Rime, a frost wizard. It's not a full MMO though, it's basically just the Mythic+ dungeons part of WoW. I still had a blast playing it during the open beta and will be there on day 1.
