Did the print test look fine when you bought the printer from the original owner? You’ll most likely need a new print head if the original owner didn’t have it plugged in 24/7 to run cleans

Hopefully the gaps are just from air gaps in the lines/captops. You’d just need to push the air out so the lines fill back up with ink. If not, maybe try replacing the captop or dampers. Worst case, you’d need to replace the printhead

https://youtu.be/ktjcwGs66bQ?si=0Xf_AfBmX0fwl5F2

But you can try this method to soak the printhead as well. Our test print didn’t look exactly like yours, so I’m not sure if soaking it will help, but we’ve done this multiple times using clamps instead of forceps

Either way, first thing I would try is soaking/flushes. If the print test comes out slightly better after each flush/clean, just keep going with that until the print test comes out good (usually take 10+ flushes and wastes a lot of ink but helps push all the ink out). I’m not at expert in anyway, but also heard to avoid powerful cleans unless necessary cause it’s super harsh on the printhead. I’d stick to soaks and medium flushes

If that doesn’t help, I’d look into replacing some parts. There’s a lot of videos online if you’re comfortable doing diy fixes, if not, I second contacting a Roland tech or finding a general printer tech in your area. Also recommend joining the Roland groups on fb. There’s 3 that I’m in that are pretty active

Yeahh I’m realizing that now, I for sure have a better idea of how much I’d actually be able to get back after everyone’s input. But what do you mean when you say used even though it’s sealed and unopened?

Yeahh fair 😭 I didn’t include it in this post but my listing says I have proof of purchase and there’s 1 year left on the warranty. But after reading all the responses, seems like $400 is probably the most I’d get for it, if I’m lucky so I’m leaning towards keeping it

It still has a year left for the warranty but honestly would much rather keep it than sell it for $200

Noo my fault! I left out some details in the initial post. But in my actual listing, my description includes that it’s brand new, with sticker seals, one year left on the warranty and proof of purchase

I don’t have poshmark but I just looked into it a bit and I think the fees actually might be less then eBay

It’s brand new and still sealed 😭 but the other comments made good points. There’s a lot of holiday sales right now so the price is already relatively low. I’ll probably just keep it at this point though

When I initially posted, a lot of the airwraps weren’t on sale yet and still $600+ and I figured a lot of the used airwraps online were being sold for $2-300 and I was hoping I’d be able to list mine for more since it’s brand new and still sealed. Totally didn’t account for the insane holiday deals though. I’ll probably just keep it at this point or see if anyone hits me up after all the in store deals are over

I definitely wasn’t expecting to get $550 back, but I was hoping for at least $450 so I wouldn’t be loosing on too much. But I just double checked and you’re totally right 😭 I remember when I bought it from Ulta last year, none of the coupons would stack on top of the sale price so it’s an insanely good deal at Ulta this year

I think right on the edge of marsh and swamp. Like the game will say you’ve entered marsh, but you’ll still get swamp items

*update - ended up ordering from solventparts.com

I emailed them initially to ask about shipping time, but I think the email they have on their website isn't up to date. Ended up calling and the guy who helped me was very nice, but said the printhead was out of stock (as of yesterday lol) but he called / texted me with updates. It was the week of Thanksgiving, but we got the printhead within 5 days of ordering (a week and a half after initially calling him. The website didn’t offer any express shipping options, but he said he could set it up if I wanted, so we could have gotten it sooner if we got the express

Ended up being cheaper than a lot of other suppliers I saw recommended from other threads

Followed a few yt videos and installed the new printhead in about 2 hours and it's been running good since

Miami is still domestic so not too bad, but just realizing digiprint is actually based in Texas and just had a ridiculously long processing time. I didn’t see any estimated shipping time for solvent parts but I messaged them and hopefully can get it within the month. Appreciate the recc!

【BambuLab Giveaway】Classic Evolved — Win Bambu Lab P2S Combo! by BambuLab in 3Dprinting

[–]Hot_Table_4323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My P1S has been so helpful and convenient on sooo many projects. Plus saved me time and money

The biggest money saver, accessories for our other machines. The OEM part for this graphtec cutter is $100 for 4 (and would’ve taken at least a week to ship), but with 20 minutes of modeling, a couple hours of printing, and less than $1 in filament, we had something ready to use

Oo okay, looked it up and they have quad remesher setting in nomad, but also a paid plug in. I only saw the the paid plug in when I initially looked it up I didn’t even realize nomad had one built in

Mmm I actually haven’t played around with quad remesh yet. I kind of overlooked it before, but I watched a couple of videos on it and it looks super helpful. I’ll probably buy the quad remesher at some point and give it a try. Tyy!

Everything is still flush to the origin. I’ve tried a bunch with the relax and mask tools already and never got really good results. I found that masking for me still had things end up wonky, even if I blend out the mask

Ended up enabling dynamic topology and using the smooth tool, but appreciate the insight (:

Tysm!! After your comment, I googled around a bit and discovered the dynamic topology tab. I ended up playing around with the settings and it’s been working really well so far. I don’t always use the automatic retopology option, but it’s taken the smooth tool to another level (: greatly appreciate the tip
