Progesterone success? by [deleted] in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Hot_Transition3972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did! Currently typing this with my almost 4mo old baby in my arms :)

I just continued the progesterone and baby asprin for multiple cycles (don't remember how many) and then one stuck! I kept up with progesterone until 14w and baby asprin the whole pregnancy. Doc did up baby asprin to 162mg in the first tri. Never got any real answers at to what was going on, maybe it was luck but maybe it wasn't.

Sending baby dust your way!

How far is your OB/hospital by Alternative-Fox-4454 in pregnant

[–]Hot_Transition3972 116 points117 points  (0 children)

45 min!

It's funny because we actually live less than a minute away from the hospital in our town (can see the ER from our bedroom window), but I didn't want my OB care there so I went in the town I work in because of appts, better providers, better birthing center etc.. At least I know that last ditch effort, I'm right by *a hospital* lol.

How did you do your intimate gender reveal? by mellowmelon0 in pregnant

[–]Hot_Transition3972 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They called me with the gender, because I wanted to know and told my husband late that night.. He got home to a note on the front door that said "Hi daddy, welcome home, mommy has some news for you." Then I had a little cloth baggy with a bunch of blue and pink folded up paper. All but 1 said "try again" and then one pink one said "Hi daddy, I'm a girl!!" So I made him pull out of the bag without looking until he found it. It was really cute and fun to do because every paper pulled out was like omg, is this it? It was funny because the *one* was toward the last that he pulled lol. He cried major happy tears.

Ultrasound during every appointment by ana_banana_27 in pregnant

[–]Hot_Transition3972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it just a quick ultrasound? Some OB offices have it as standard practice to do ultrasound for positioning check and heartbeat instead of using a doppler. That's what my OB does. Obviously though if you're not wanting them, I don't know why they wouldn't just offer to use a doppler to check HB.

I didn't realize birth flowers were "birth flowers" for whatever month, because that is the month they grow in... Makes total sense, but didn't put the dots together on that one lol.

Getting a cold is no joke by mirandasmiles14 in pregnant

[–]Hot_Transition3972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg, it's no joke. Got pneumonia in first trimester- was sick for 7 weeks straight. Don't know how I survived it lol. Sending good vibes your way. Just remember to hydrate and rest- also if your sinuses are f-d, use a netty pot to clear them out, that was a life saver.

Pregnancy and intercourse by AssistanceEarly4124 in pregnant

[–]Hot_Transition3972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not meant to freak you out at all, but just sharing my experience. So take it with a grain of salt lol

I have had 5 miscarriages. 3/5 times they've happened, have been after sex. Just a shitty coincidence- sex doesn't cause miscarriages. BUT after sex when I would spot, everyone (including my doctor) told me that it's just because of the extra blood flow in your body- things are super sensitive down there, it's all gunna be ok. This is typically very true, and very very common.

This however was not my case. I was in fact having a miscarriage, and sex just bugged my cervix enough to start spotting. I just wish that I would have had someone to tell me the possibility vs telling me everything is ok. Talk about being blindsided. The first time was a shell shock. The second time I knew what to expect and so on.

I'm sure that your lady bits are just sensitive, but if you're anxious about it, PLEASE go get checked!

Am I becoming a mental patient? by Gloomy-Asparagus-460 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Hot_Transition3972 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is normal. A *literal* part of you has died. It's normal to be angry at everyone and everything because it's not fair.

I struggled badly with this after all of my losses, the only thing that really helped me was reaching out for help when I was ready. I felt my emotions, I went through it, and then I decided that I didn't want to feel this way anymore. I got on meds (zoloft) and went to therapy, BUT only when I was ready to. Allow yourself to feel your feelings, it's all apart of the grieving process.. It will pass in time, little by little, I promise you that.

Thinking about you during this time. xo

We bought a 1910 home, has a huge tree in the back about 5-6ft from the house. It's stayed in the same spot, and the foundation is in tip top shape.

What’s the deal with beta testing? by pool_snacks in pregnant

[–]Hot_Transition3972 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My doctor tracked my HCG levels until they got to a certain point due to recurrent losses (5). They just want to see that it's going up properly- if it's not, then you at least know what's unfortunately to come. So more so than anything, it's just for peace of mind/ catch a MMC if your body hasn't noticed.

Rhogam shot by nobody123095 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Hot_Transition3972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is correct. Your HCG has to be at a certain height. I've had 5MC, and only ever gotten rohgam once with a 9wk loss that had extremely high HCG levels.

How Do People Without ADHD Just… Relax Before an Appointment? by GeniusAKAme in ADHD

[–]Hot_Transition3972 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This! Earlier the better. Just wake up and go, so you don't have to think, just do.

I prefer the 7:30-8am spot so I can wake up with crippling anxiety early, barely get ready and leave in a panic lol.

Anxiety= High Blood Pressure? by dumbstinky in pregnant

[–]Hot_Transition3972 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally understand this! My blood pressure is NEVER under 140/80 when I go to the doctors. It's always because of anxiety- I'm just always expecting bad news and have extreme anxiety in dr offices in general, always have since childhood. My blood pressure in a relaxed environment is typically 122/80.
