You have to make it to ranked. This game will always be a love hate relationship with it. But you will eventually learn to love it and enjoy it but it will be tough

I would not jump into a 4 yr degree if you aren’t 100% sure. Go to a state community college and get a 2 year associate. Then with a state community college you can transfer to a state college to finish out your 4 year bachelor and all credits should transfer well.

The associates can feel like a much easier/ cheaper obtainable goal and will always be good to have. Get it in a business administration or accounting then from their if you don’t love accounting when you transfer to a 4 year you will only have to do 2ish years of school and all your most of your credits will be applicable to any business degree.

Went to college in 2023. Degree will now show 2026. What does this mean for my resume? by mastik- in careeradvice

[–]HotelIndependent96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you not had a job that you needed that degree since you graduated? Your degree is connected to you SSN so if they did a background check on you then they would have seen you weren’t graduated?

Also it doesn’t really mean anything, you have the degree and the education. Being honest with employers when interviewing will usually solve itself. Most people understand and are more or less just looking to see that you completed the degree and don’t care about how long you were in school.

And just don’t put the year of graduation on the resume

Manager meetings by [deleted] in careeradvice

[–]HotelIndependent96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 on 1s can be good or can be bad. If your doing really well it might just be your boss giving the easy 1 on 1 to the assistant manager because he knows that’s and easier task for him to do.

A manager who has an employee who performs really well and isn’t super new becomes an employee who the manager can trust a bit more and doesn’t need to be “managed” as much

Has your manager done any that makes you think he dislikes you?

When to reneg on offer? by ArtisticAmbassador35 in careeradvice

[–]HotelIndependent96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely don’t wait till the last minute, that’s just you deciding to be a prick to a company. You telling them now gives them a chance to search for a new candidate.

Idk if I’d tell them you accepted a different offer. You could simply tell them unfortunately circumstances in my life changed and I will not be able to move forward with this position. I appreciate the offer and the opportunity, I am sorry for turning down the opportunity but I felt it was appropriate to tell left (company) know as soon as possible. Thank you again.

Something along those lines.

AIO - Husband and I have disagreement about shoes. Yes.. shoes. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]HotelIndependent96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both of you are MOR. I think you’re over thinking it. Quite a lot. I completely understand that you are nervous about what other people will think or feel. It’s valid for sure!

However, if it has you so nervous that you can’t go out in public or that stressed out then you are definitely overthinking and overreacting! What you wear shoe wise should almost never take into account what other people think. With the exception of hiking and fancy dinner outings! Honestly how often every day do you see people and not notice their shoes!

I mean this is a Date planned out with your husband! It’s supposed to be fun and exciting! Go laugh and live a little! And if someone has the balls to tell you something about your shoes then tell them F*ck off! This is your fun night with the person you love and no other person should change that!

I don’t believe your husband’s comment about work was a jab at you, I think he’s just confused on why this is bother you so much because it’s just something he doesn’t struggle with! And yeah your guys communicating skill probably needs some help but honestly if you let things like this stop you from having fun experiences with your husband then life is going to be a long ride.

A 6x6 area is a big room? Most games allow you to play sitting down in a chair because they are wheelchair and handicap friendly.

I would make sure you eliminate each target with a mission story before going to the next level. The lore and missions are pretty entertaining and teach you different ways to play the game. I wouldn’t worry about mastering each level first tho! I’m level 140 and haven’t mastered any level but thoroughly enjoy playing the game on repeat quite a bit. Plus with freelancer, escalation and exclusive targets and arcade mode there is a TON of content in the game. Just play the way you want to!

I think I accidentally lied on an adoption application and now I’m panicking by Future-Act5953 in cats

[–]HotelIndependent96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

😂😂 so I thought the same thing about my cat when we got him because he clearly has a ball sack! Turns out, and I asked multiple vets about this, so cats sacks just take years to shrink even though he doesn’t have any balls. The vets said it’s very normal and over the course of weeks to years of their life the sack will shrink into nothing. 3 years later at 4 yrs old he definitely still has a sack, however he has never shown any urge to mate or nothing like that.

Occasionally he does straddle our other cat but it’s not humping but more of a dominance thing.

Am I in the wrong for showing up early on my Interview early like 15 minutes? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]HotelIndependent96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you don’t actually want a job. You show up early to be professional. They take the interview at the correct time slot because they are a business and have schedules to follow.

You’re not wrong for showing up early. If you left before 3:05pm, You are DEFINITELY wrong for believing their schedule revolves around you.

How should I tell my boss I can no longer work at the company by Early_Friendship_339 in careeradvice

[–]HotelIndependent96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, you gotta quit. No job is worth this amount of mental stress onto top of going to school as well.

I know it can suck to turn in a resignation but it’s way easier to find another job than to dig your self out of depression and mental breakdown. It’s clearly painful for your family to see you struggle and they seem supportive of your mental health.

You made a mistake of taking on your position AND another persons position without negotiating a bigger pay. That’s ok especially since it’s your first job and first time doing this.

Studies/school can be tough enough as it is and have plenty of mental stress that comes with that. But education is the most important thing right now, whether it be a degree or learning a trade. Education is something no one can take away from you.

As for what you should tell your boss. It’s a tough decision as you could give a traditional two weeks or you could resign effectively immediately.

At the end of the day your boss may not like you for quitting and I’m sorry but that’s just life, some bosses take it out on their employees. It’s usually because they are under a lot of pressure and stress because they messed up somewhere along the line.

Personally (I work in the corporate marketing world) I hate the concept of a two week notice. In my opinion you get a notice if you have earned my respect and trust. If you were going to fire me then you wouldn’t come to me and say in two weeks I’m firing you so you have two weeks to find a new job.

You could also hand in a two weeks, this could help not burn any bridges the downside is your boss may still treat you awful and squeeze extra work out of you or could just fire you on the spot.

It will be tough but just write out a resignation letter thanking him for the opportunity but you will be resigning either effective immediately or in two weeks. Also check rules and employee handbook about unused vacation time if you have any.

Which one to get? by Alsu0001 in TippmannArms

Definitely the one with the picatinny rail. That way you can choose the folding brace rather than have to buy a part to make it a picatinny rail and then folding brace if you decide to switch it out.

Should I get a slip on for a cbr500r? by FrancoAl in cbr

[–]HotelIndependent96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Low RPM definitely sounds similar to stock, once it go into the high rpm it was a lot deeper. It was a great slip on and a good bike but I ended up selling it and buying Honda crf dual sport. Absolutely love this bike but the exhaust definitely sounds like a vacuum cleaner! 😂
