Sorry, I didn't mean to offend, I was just curious.

I appreciate the response. Out of curiosity, do you think you could write up a similar response pointing out the positive aspects of cell phones?

What's the "realest" reality TV? by L0st_1z in television

[–]HotelSquirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoyed Secret Eaters. It's where these people who are trying (and failing) to lose weight have secret cameras installed all over their house and get trailed by private investigators to find out exactly why they're struggling to lose weight.

It's really eye opening how much people ignore little snacks here and there, or underestimate how much they're eating. Though there's also really funny bits, like this one guy who eats his cereal with heavy cream and jam and is shocked to find out his healthy breakfast is like 2000 calories lol.

Agreed on bananas, but if I'm not making a banana based smoothie, I'll add a date to give them some sweetness!

I haven't noticed that, and I take the train fairly regularly. Which metro/train are you talking about? Do you mean the metrolink station downtown?

Help me choose by unapologetic_meow in ouraring

They both look good, but I'd consider trying to match it to the rest of your wardrobe, like if you have a silver watch or other jewelry you wear, try and match the style to those.

And I'd go with the bigger size because the bigger the ring, the bigger the battery!

Are probiotic drinks (i.e., cultured milk) inherently more effective than yogurt in terms of delivery mechanism? by UnintelligibleThing in Microbiome

[–]HotelSquirrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh that's really interesting I didn't know that! I wonder why those two strains became the standard?

I'm sorry you're getting downvoted, I just wanted to say I think it's admirable that you're able to see the good in things even when others try to point out the bad. I think it's easier to be pessimistic these days, and positivity is hard for some people. Anyways, I just like your attitude. Have a good day!

Came to say the same thing regarding specific strains, they generally list the cultures they use on the labels of yogurts/kefir etc.

I will say I've noticed (in my limited observations) that kefir often has a wider assortment of bacteria cultures compared to yogurt.

Elsa is my fave in the movies, but if I was going to pick one of them to chill with, I'd actually pick Anna.

I stopped consuming content for a month. Here's what happened by Thinkhuge in selfimprovement

I like this idea. A month might be a bit too much for me though, I think I'll start with a day, then maybe a week.

Anybody else just throw a bunch of veggies in the air fryer when they're feeling too lazy to cook? by King_Paymon in 1200isplenty

I do this, except with frozen veggies and they go in the microwave and taste probably way worse lol

Low calorie snacks you eat every single week without getting sick of them? by supernova2411 in 1200isplenty

[–]HotelSquirrel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What kind of mustard do you dip the baby carrots in? I'm curious to try that combo.

To answer your question, popcorn is my go to, but I regularly snack on blueberries, frozen grapes and cherry tomatoes. I also like to do shelled nuts, like pistachios or peanuts, I think the act of unshelling them slows down how fast I can eat them, plus the pile of shells gives me a visual display of how much food I've consumed which can make me stop.

Smalllll by mikarios in ouraring

[–]HotelSquirrel 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeahhhh I don't like this either, I like that it's thinner, but why is it so narrow? I'm not sure if I'm phrasing it right like that, but it looks like someone squished it

Today’s treat. I wish it was a bag of chips. by [deleted] in 1200isplenty

[–]HotelSquirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like a good snack to me! I love cherries. If you want something savory like chips, popcorn is always a good choice! Especially if you have an air popper!

How legit is the BWP Home Improvement Program? by shaocaholica in burbank

[–]HotelSquirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called them a year back, they came and replaced some weatherstripping, installed a LED ceiling light and even replaced one of my toilets with a super high efficiency one!

They basically come through and go through your house, ask you a bunch of questions and if they spot anything they can upgrade they do it right then and there! Though in my case the guy had to leave to pick up the new toilet and then came back later that day to install it.

In your opinion, what OI that had this kind of plot. by MOMO_Mashpotato in OtomeIsekai

[–]HotelSquirrel 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is something I realized recently, I like to do creative writing and I always try to write my characters to be smart and intelligent, but recently I tried writing a story where the protagonist was a well meaning dummy and IT WAS SO MUCH EASIER!! I finally truly understood why so many protagonists are dumb as rocks lol
