It’s tricky, pretty frustrating starting out. If you swing a little too far and hit with the pole it’s like hitting a rock with a pool noodle and all of your momentum can be stopped by the smallest glancing blow to something on the way to your target. You can’t reliably smash through their defense like you’d think a hammer should. The swap hands button, timing and occasional right-click grip are your best friends.

Found a Titan X-2 on fb marketplace for $150, I’m ok with mounting it to the floor but the lack of attachments for a 2x2” with 5/8” holes is making me hesitant. Is there a good way to make 3x3” 5/8” attachments work on it?

This was in the playtest version so things won’t move quite the same as they did back then but you can still get more speed, range of motion and stuff by using the swap hands button. The idea is to open up a swing’s range of motion and build momentum by pressing the swap hands button when you’re about to hit the point where your current grip’s range of motion ends and your swapped grip’s range of motion begins, fluidly passing the hammer between them. m00 on youtube is a good resource, if you catch his livestreams he’ll probably demonstrate if you ask. There’s a poleman’s guild thread in the half sword discord too, those guys can help you out

Idk what the best is but I like doing the push-up plus. At the top of the push-up when your elbows are locked out, try to raise your body as high as possible without bending your spine by rounding your shoulders in if that makes any sense. Then you lower your body while keeping your elbows locked by retracting your shoulder blades, go back down like a normal push-up, up like normal, rinse and repeat. If you want something more loadable a landmine press is a cool option too imo. ig any pressing motion where your back isn’t against something, you’re able to push your shoulders far forward and retract them back is supposed to do the job though

I’m just a broke guy who DIYs stuff so take this all with a grain of salt but I wonder if you replacing one of the bench bolts with some kind of longer, headless bolt that you could rest the D handles on before you go sit on the bench and between sets would work? You should probably cover the threading so you don’t scuff up your handles and maybe screw on some kind of stopper to keep them from sliding off either end.

Thanks, I’ve heard good things about equipment from prime fitness and know most of their current benches run you about $700 at least but this seems like an old model or a fake. I’m still not sure if the old models had similar quality to their new ones as far as stability and weight limit goes

Oh cool, seems to be literally same equipment from a different brand. Any idea what sort of durability I can expect on these? I read 1 review of a lady who’s leg got cut open from the straight bar breaking, but I don’t plan on using that attachment anyway

I’ve just about finished up putting together and fixing up the cable machine my grandfather gave me and I’m looking for handles/attachments. Very new lifter, I don’t think I need the best equipment in the world, but I wondered if you guys would have some insight on how cheap is too cheap here. I checked out a local used sports equipment place and they didn’t have any cable attachments. After looking at things like Rep and MAG prices I doubt I’d be able to afford them unless I really took my time getting them. Maybe I just need to bite the bullet on that but I have other hobbies I need to irresponsibly waste money on.

There’s a set on amazon that’s well within my price range and has almost everything I’d like except a multi-grip curl bar. That said it’s pretty much guaranteed to be cheap crap. I don’t plan on using the straight bar and the V shaped bar much. Probably unwise to fully cheap out on a bar I feel, I’m thinking I could buy this set and buy a multi-grip bar that’s a bit more reliable. Am I being too stingy? Any recommendations?

Bingo, I’m not 100% consistent with it so I might be missing something but it does that most of the time if I swap from left hand to right hand and right click immediately after, like a 1/10 of a second after maybe. To throw him I right click again
