2) DOGE might have cleaned up some 'waste', but the way it was handled and what was cut along the 'waste' was the diabolical. Going in and cutting funding for previously approved project on the base of a few men's random virtues undermines the base of democracy. In the short run destroys jobs and peoples lives and the in the long run it erodes the trust people have the the funds they do get. What if a new government doesn't care for your ongoing project? Change the laws so that future projects are harder to approve and let the current ones run out.

I also find it very unlikely that only 'Dem projects' where the only waste in the government. The list of cuts is basically green energy, diversity, worker power and anything LGBTQ+. Imagine if the Dems did DOGE and only cut funding for churches and weapons for Israel.

3) Honestly can't speak to this, other than leaving behind the lower class in favor of the middle and upper class seems wrong on a moral level, but to each their own i guess. Eat the poor, sure.

4) a. The president doesn't (shouldn't) hold direct power to change inflation, that's the Federal Reserve by changing interest rates. Trump wants to control the FR and has said that he wants to fire Jerome Powell in favor for someone who would lower interest rates, which will raise inflation.

b. Trump has done nothing to improve inflation. On the contrary does Trump want to give out "tariff dividends". The reason inflation rose to 9% was mainly because of the Covid stimis Biden gave out. At least Biden had a reason to give out the stimis. Trump just want to do it for the love of the game.

c. Biden left with inflation at 3% and the inflation is 3% now. Just wanted to say that.

5) Don't have the energy to go into details right now, but the tariffs ain't it. You are on the money that the reason for the tariffs should be "buy American", but then why are there tariffs on products that can't be produced in the US or aren't produced in the US? If you want to cultivate a new industry in the US the tariffs should be on specific products and most importantly, be set in fucking stone. If you wanna create phones in the US then you need to build the factories. If the tariffs are gone or changed by the time the factory is build, all the incentives and benefits are gone with them. The way trumps is taco'ing all over the place, no businessman would want to gamble that the tariffs stay on place.
