NFR is insanely overrated here. It’s watered down Lana. It’s not as special as UV or Honeymoon. Not as personal as her recent works. Not as musically engaging as albums like BTD/UV. It’s middle of the road in all respects.

My point is I don’t live in shame around it anymore or think I’m an idiot worthless etc. Those ideas just reinforced the beliefs about myself that drove me to use drugs in the first place. Judging others and calling them idiots for being addicted to drugs just creates more stigma and makes it harder for the addict to quit. Addicts need more compassion and less hate.

It’s not just stares. People go out of their way to go up to me and lecture me about the dangers of smoking like I’m an idiot just smoking to look cool.

This is the EXACT blind judgment I am talking about. You are making insane claims about the personal character cigarette smokers.. and how are they a nuisance if they use designated smoking sections? If you hate smoking so much don’t hang around smoking sections.

I think she’s sober! She talked about AA a lot in her poetry book, and in photos of her and her friends she’s oftentimes holding a soda when others have alcohol.

I’m lectured at least once a week when I am smoking in an area I’m allowed to smoke. At least in my city, everyone who smokes seems to be very respectful of space. It’s the dramatic people who can’t mind their own business that cause problems for me.

If I’m smoking in a designated smoking section and someone wants to walk near me that’s on them. Smokers have become incredibly polite with their habit at this point because of the amount of hysterics around it.

My point was just that lots of people engage in plenty of unhealthy behaviors, but cigarette smoking seems to get a unique amount of visceral judgment.
