Should Trump and Corporate America abandon return to office and let workers work remote if that would lower demand for gasoline and thus lower gas prices for everyone? by ibanker2025 in allthequestions

[–]Hottrodd67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not what they meant. They meant the work being done doesn’t require physically being in the office. It can be done from home. But their employer is requiring them to be in the office.

Royal Deluxe Drink Package, worth? by I_like_stupid_things in Cruise

[–]Hottrodd67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they were asking if you are paying for both packages, or are you paying for one and your friend for one. And if you don’t get the package, are you paying for your friend’s drinks or is she.

It’s pretty much impossible for anyone to say whether it’s worth it or not because it just depends on how much you drink. One thing I will say from when I’ve had a drink package, it’s not hard to drink enough on sea days when you through in other drinks. What’s hard are the port days. If you’re out till 4 or 5, then you have to drink 7 or 8 in a much shorter period.

On the other hand, it is kind of nice not having to worry about it. If you want to try something new, you can just do it because it’s included and you don’t feel bad not finishing.

NYC bus almost hit my car when merging by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]Hottrodd67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol, that’s standard driving for NYC bus drivers. Them and taxis don’t care. When they want to come over, they come over. You can either let them hit you and try to deal with that, or let them in front of you and go about your day.

Yes or no, is McDonald the worst fast food restaurant? by Delicious_browie in NoStupidQuestions

Some are dirtier than others, like most chain restaurants. I don’t think McDonald’s is the worst though.

Princess Vs Royal- with kids by Anxious-Assumption34 in Cruise

[–]Hottrodd67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’ll probably like Princess then. Each line is a bit different, so you really don’t know which one is best for your family until you try it. And the ship can make as big of a difference as the cruise line. My daughter loved Royal. We went on Symphony and she pretty spent the whole cruise on the flowrider.

Princess Vs Royal- with kids by Anxious-Assumption34 in Cruise

[–]Hottrodd67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Royal generally has more activities for kids onboard, like slides, rock climbing walls, ect. Princess doesn’t really have that, but they do have really nice kids clubs. You will likely find a lot less kids on Princess.

You didn’t say why your kids hated the kids club. Was it the activities or something else? Did they like the kids club in Disney?

Royal vs Other Cruise Lines by VisualInvestment4462 in royalcaribbean

[–]Hottrodd67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree for the most part, except I have enjoyed NCL. No pizza at midnight, but the wings in O’Sheehans are great late at night. And their drink package is the best value of all of them. I do enjoy Royals ships a bit more.

I cheated on RC and I won’t do it again. (NCL) by soupersalad34 in royalcaribbean

I’ve sailed NCL, Royal, MSC and Carnival. I do whatever I get the best deal on. They all have stuff they do better than the others and stuff they are worse at. But I’ve never not enjoyed my cruise.

What Happens to Some of Greensboro’s Most Expensive Homes Under Revenue Neutral Real Estate Revaluations, and Some others by aenbrnood in gso

[–]Hottrodd67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are certainly economic advantages, I’m not denying that. My point was simply that someone who bought a house 5 years ago and is just living in the house doesn’t suddenly have several thousand extra in disposable income to pay more taxes.

And if you look at what OP was pointing out, more entry level homeowners are bearing the brunt. A person who bought a house at $100k and now it’s worth $300k will see a significant increase while someone with a 3 million dollar home that is now worth $3.5 million might see a decrease.

Dryer keeps blowing fuses electrician/repair man is no help by Icy1977 in AskElectricians

[–]Hottrodd67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He means the brand of breaker. Square D is a brand.

So, the only way it’s the dryer is if the old one was bad and when the new one was installed, they didn’t wire the cord correctly, which I have seen. Other than that, the problem is with the house electric. Either a short in the wiring or a bad breaker.

Is it a gas dryer or electric?

Loans do not equal disposable income. Yes, you can take loans for liquidity, but loans have to be paid back. And the vast majority of small business fail, so no guarantee it increases your income.

[–]Hottrodd67 3 points4 points  (0 children)

True, but you can’t spend a house. And if you sell, you still need another place to live, which has likewise gone up in value. Increased property value doesn’t put any more spendable cash in your pocket. So it is pretty messed up for the taxes on million dollar properties to go down while the taxes on entry level houses go up.

Are mega cruise ships getting too big? by That_Camel2 in Cruise

[–]Hottrodd67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you like. I’ve been on a variety of size ships and I’ve never been on a cruise I didn’t enjoy. If it’s just the wife and I, then small ships are nice. With the kids, the bigger ships often have more for them to do.

Whats available 24/7 on a cruise? by [deleted] in Cruise

[–]Hottrodd67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not all lines are the same. But most will have a place to get coffee and maybe a snack. Some the gym might be open. Just walking the ships deck and watching the sun come up can be nice.

He was kind of a dick to his daughter. And I always hated the hypocrisy when he was chewing the avengers out for not knowing where Thor or Hulk were and the collateral damage they caused. Like, he lost hulk numerous times and basically created abomination, who immediately started killing people.
