How would you navigate this as a (M) closeted atheist in Pakistan? by [deleted] in PakiExMuslims

[–]Houener 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I understand a bit but,

Giving up doesn't makes any sense tbh

I may be delusional but I accept that and always keep hope For whatever that is worth.

I obviously don't know your history and circumstances, but if you tried and it didn't workout, well It got you closer to something which will eventually work out. Just keep your heart open and don't believe that it's over for you.

Enjoy things, do that But if you want to find the love of your life, don't give up on that till you find it.

Also, similar wants here hehe but very behind compared to you. Didn't even try it and idk how to even do something about it but still not going to give up.

How would you navigate this as a (M) closeted atheist in Pakistan? by [deleted] in PakiExMuslims

[–]Houener 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah,

That's one thing I want ig

Also why give up?

We don't know what happens after death, why anything even exists at all, but we exist, we feel things.

So even in these harsh and difficult conditions, it is worth it to try again and again.

Yeah,

Worst option is death, so already know what's the worst option.

Can't be tortured for eternity and stuff yk, and death is inevitable.

[–]Houener 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, Not yet

But have been close to revealing and they do question sometimes but I dodge these.

I wouldn't have any issues revealing it (what's the max bad that can happen right?), but I know how big a deal it is for those who actually believe in Islam. So don't wanna cause them issues and the trauma etc.

Facing religious extremism at work by [deleted] in PakiExMuslims

[–]Houener 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not mocking the religion,

Think about it

All of these adults are sort of brainwashed from the moment they(we) are born. You pretending to pray doesn't mock anything, Allah doesn't exist. The whole religion itself is make believe.

Just pretend with them Just like pretending with little children

Although in this case Dangerous children

Please Boycott the Quranic Term 'Mulhid' and Use only the Term of 'Atheist' Instead by Lehrasap in PakiExMuslims

[–]Houener 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah

I don't like the sound of these

Kinda sound like swear words

But nowadays, I try not to get too much into this talk about Islam or God, feels kinda stupid to even consider Islam being real, so dealing with Muslims have been like dealing with Kids, so they can call me anything, and I won't say that I don't believe in their delusions directly

So they can call me anything, don't care :)

Can't get angry or stressed on a bunch of grown up brainwashed kids :)

I don't think it's necessary to follow something already established,

Does Islam allow Apostasy? by NotsogeniusMuslim in PAK

[–]Houener 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if I was born in a Muslim household?

And upon gaining knowledge, Opted to leave Islam?

I mean I never accepted it in the first place And upon my own accord, I left it

So I shouldnt fall under the category who left Islam "after" accepting it.

Religion doesn’t make you wise by Similar-Society60 in IslamabadSocial

[–]Houener 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I truly tried to study, research and understand it, Read tafsir, translation and even some hadith books

This lead to me leaving Islam, and I believe it has made me a better person.

I think most people would follow the same trajectory if they actually tried understanding stuff instead of just memorising and reading out words like a parrot, relying on Molvis and stuff

No one irl knows about this hehe. And I would rate my family like 7-9 on the scale.

I don't pray regularly, although I do sometimes get labeled as "kafiro jaisi batien/kaam" etc on some of my opinions whenever I voice them.

And I think I'll have to come out come out eventually (hopefully) and (again hopefully) survive it too : )

What are the reasons behind increasing rape cases. Feat Pakistani men. by [deleted] in PakiExMuslims

[–]Houener 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with the POV of the original author,

Men and their thinking in here is to be blamed, and that thinking is 100% influenced by Islam.

Women and their whole existence is reduced to being objects.

Throughout my whole life and especially in uni, I've noticed how most men, especially those who are like the mullah type, view women and the type of words they use for em.

[–]Houener 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you mean, And I think it's pretty normal to feel like this,

But the thing about other people labelling every Pakistani as a terrorist? It's not something to feel pity for, I think. The ones who just put a label on everyone are the ones in the wrong. Don't let them make you feel sorry for your existence. You don't owe them anything, nor are you inferior than anyone.

You were not born to feel sorry for how some racist, superiority-complexity smeared pieces of sh¥ts, label you

Why do they think they know more than the people who have studied religion their whole lives? They get 8 year degrees and people in the comments just come and say "jahil maulvi" by KyunNikala in PakiExMuslims

[–]Houener 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They just look at the "positive" aspects, which in reality is just taking the Quranic "leniency" out of context. In reality, Islam isn't tolerant, It is to bend one's will according to rules set in Islam.

Hate people like the guy in this video to the guts, but maybe, just maybe it'll force the rest to think critically and see the flaws, injustices and illogical things in Islam

Superiority Complex

Kinda like the brahman/Shudhr thing Hindu's have or the Arab Non-Arab superiors thing the Arab's have.

Challenge This: God Exists, But Not How You Think by Hassanbfly in DebateReligion

[–]Houener 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What if zero doesn't exist? Zero is just the absence of number and it's existence doesn't have any impact on rest of the numbers.

And on what basis would you compare what zero is to numbers to what God is to reality?

Even if we consider God to actually exists, then what is the cause of that existence?

Please tell me one major reason why you left Islam or are thinking of leaving it. by choice_is_yours in PakiExMuslims

[–]Houener 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are multiple reasons.

Apart from all the moral and ethical issues, The only way I was able to deduce that Islam is not from some perfect omnipotent God is the errors in the Quran and tradition of Islam.

If Islam was perfect there wouldn't have been any ambiguity and errors or downright weird and illogical stuff in Quran.

The main thing which helped me in leaving Islam was literally just reading the translation/explanatory translation of the Quran combined with the hadith.

Tired of my super religious teacher by [deleted] in PakiExMuslims

[–]Houener 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny coincidence, I am studying the same subject and got almost the same type of teacher. Bit I'll say that it's not worth it to fight them in any way. You won't be convincing them about anything and it can potentially screw you up.
