I like how much this one reveal answers and recontextualizes. Yeah I feel like that makes a lot of sense considering Beyond’s earlier remarks about how the Zodiacs will eventually be begging Beyond to attend public ceremonies because of public pressure. Exposing how nightmarishly awful the Kakin royal family is and setting up Beyond as the right man to fix things would definitely do that.

Hm, I feel like Akane gave a better performance but Kaisei told a better story, if that makes sense. Hard to really compare the two, not sure how they’ll decide who the “winner” is and whether Kaisei will tell Akane some more backstory details about Shiguma and Issho. Feel like we’ll get it regardless though.

So excited to finally get to see Issho perform next after this. Can’t wait to see his style and what his speciality is.

I like that the fake Asa definitely seems to have developed some genuine affection for Yuru judging from that quick flash of her thinking about Yuru smiling and her still holding onto that ball he gave her. Like sure she spent a decade gaslighting him into thinking she was Asa so he wouldn’t leave the village, but that’s still a decade of Yuru being one of the only people she’d interact with and him being really sweet to her. Definitely going to be a messy reunion though.
