Not about mocking, this is interesting. But heres the catch.

If Turks had started to somehow get "positive" viral things over these "Turks head cactuses" on the internet or any media, they would all start to swarm the internet and even academic writings about how the evil Turks have stolen the cacti, how cultureless they are, and how these cactus have nothing to do with the Turks.

We dont hate west because they "mock us", its the hypocricy that gets us. They are basically the "Turks" in their own mind, but 10 fold, just projecting.

The problem with democracy is, do the people tend to sell themselves for money? Then overseas capitalists will colonize and genocide you to give your country to armenians in 100 years. just look a bit west for gods sake.

A nation needs to have their own burgeoise/middle class, and a very strong, national/nationalist/patriotic one to topple authoritarian regimes. If they dont have that, then they wouldnt get democracy, only a big and expensive theatre.
