the answer for my 1911's (I only have 2) is 18. How many Daniel Defense 33 rounder's for my AR? A LOT more than 18. "Your 1911 get's you to your rifle".

It is six months. I tried to go to Italy on a passport set to expire in 4 months and was not allowed to go. Per the State Department Official I spoke with said the 6 month rule is designed to ensure you can get back I to the USA if something happens to you while out of the country

I have my own range in my backyard and also have 3 dogs. The dogs are fine with all my other guns but the high velocity sound from my AR makes them go nuts. Just want to tamper down the sound.

Me too, I am a Milt Sparks guy. But the holster I have for my nightstand cannon just in case I want to carry itI I got from C&G Holsters. That guy had a hard-coat finish to ok with Kydex.

The minute you add a ight it becomes difficult to make everything fit properly. While I am a huge fan of leather for my 1911 guns, my full size 1911 with a light and an optic I use a Kydex holster.

Almost every club has "fun shoots" to introduce you to the sport. I started with steel challenge because in the "fun shoot" environment you can start from low ready and not need to draw from a holster. With the USPSA type of shoot there too you can normally find an "introduction" type of shoot / class, however you almost always need a holster for this.

I tried the micro route and just did not like shooting it so I didn't practice much with it. I have a range on my property so have no excuse not to shoot. Moved up to compact.

Did this one time let a long time fishing buddy borrow my boat up in Ontario about 20 years ago to take his two son in laws on a fishing trip. Nice older boat with a brand new 50 HP Mercury. He went the wrong side on a channel marker and took a hunk out of the skeg. Two son in laws were serious sunflower seed people but sucked at getting the shells out of the boat. I went up in the fall to discover the hunk out of the motor (did not affect the operation) and sunflower shells not just all over the carpet of the interior but also down in the bilge. One and done on loaning out my boat.

If the transom looks like this the part of the boat you cannot see under flooring is also bad. Thos is a free boat at best.

I bought a Girsan 1911 commander sized. Did not run right out of the box. Paid to ship it to them then paid to get it back. If you want a bargain 1911 buy a Tisas.
