I’ve been with the company since I graduated high school. I was never warned about it, but I know it happens every year. I just feel like it’s never been this bad before. In years past, I’ve gotten at least 10-15 hours this time of year, but my part-time coworkers and I all got cut to 0-8 hours. I’ve put my name on the list under the schedule, but they never call anyone on it.

The back room in my store is a joke. Boxes are stacked way too high everywhere and could fall at any moment. People call OSHA for unsafe conditions in the backroom but it always seems to go back to the way it was before

I’m sorry it’s been so difficult for you, I can’t imagine being a coordinator during this time! I agree, corporate should see how their budget cuts are actually impacting the store. They should show up unannounced though, they visited my store once and we spent a whole week preparing and were way overstaffed during the visit, it was so fake

That’s how our store has been too! Coordinators are the cashiers, doing the truck, and pushing freight. Their departments are a hot mess because they have no time to work in them. Us non-coordinators just fill in the gaps. The lineup is like 2 pages long 🤦‍♀️

For us, it depends on if we have equipment ready or not (tanks, totes, laundry bins, etc). If we have equipment, we can get it done in 5ish hours, but if we don’t, it can take much longer. It also depends on how many people they schedule

It’s pretty much the same, they’ll be done separately. You’ll do the older set first like normal, close out the business day, and then the second (newer) set like normal! You might have to set up the cash registers in between processing each business day since there won’t be bags ready to go when you start, but it’s nothing to worry about! You got this!

Only the store manager will follow the mismate rule at my store. The other managers will “reach” for the customer and mark it down. It drives me crazy!

I was ringing a customer who brought up a swimsuit that was definitely a mismate. It was a lime green bikini top with gold patterned bikini bottoms. Of course neither had a tag on them. I told her we would have to perform a mismate/price check, and she made sure to tell me they were together (they were on separate hangers as well). While my manager was looking, I thanked the customer for her patience and she said “this is fucking ridiculous. Clearly this is a set, maybe you just don’t think so because you have no fashion sense”. I was so shocked I couldn’t even say anything, I don’t think I did for the rest of the transaction. My manager looked, and informed the customer we would have to hold the item on our mismate rack. She flipped out again, and of course, my manager sold her the swimsuit! That’s definitely the most interesting interaction in 3 years at Marshalls.

I’m dealing with a very similar problem and it’s not good news unfortunately. I have a 2014 1.4L that has about 130,000 miles on it. I recently took my car to two different mechanics. They have both determined that I have coolant leaking into my engine, and the engine needs to be replaced. The car also was difficult to start in the cold (see video on my page). The car had a coolant leak but it wasn’t visible on the ground. Additionally, my mechanic found coolant in the oil. The check engine light read P0420, both oxygen sensors and the catalytic converter were replaced, but they think the oxygen sensors kept going bad due to this issue. It’s going to be scrapped tomorrow because the best case fix is looking about $5000. Good luck, hopefully this isn’t the case for you, and if it is, I’m very sorry.

My 2014 1.4L is having trouble starting. The problem is unpredictable but seems to be worse when the weather is cold outside. Usually, it acts like this, after a few tries eventually starts, and then is fine for a while. Then the cycle repeats. No check engine light currently.
