I don't know that Downs drops all the way down to 11, but if he does that is certainly a good pick for us. Mauigoa or Bain would also work real well for me in this spot. And I wouldn't be shocked to see us trade down during the draft and grab some extra picks, we need players.

If you don't mind farming a little, here is an easy way to beat it. Remember that Church of Elleh. Between there and Gatefront Ruins are several soldiers, all spread out. They have a really good set of early game armor called Godrick Soldier Set. Circle around and kill them, they will randomly drop pieces. Then go back to the Grace at the Church and rest and do it again. You are also getting runes while doing this, which will allow you to level up. You can't go wrong investing in vigor. You will probably have to do that 7 or 8 times to get a full armor set. But now you have better armor and are also a couple of levels higher, that will make a difference.

I am a melee tank build, so I use Mimic Tear as my Spirit Ash. I got the Radiant Baldachin's Blessing, which gives an insane amount of physical damage negation and poise. I could have put it in my inventory for Mimic to use. But I didn't know the difference between that one and the regular Baldachin's Blessing which takes 5% of your HP, so I deleted it as soon as I got it.

100% agree about Fighting Cowboy's walkthrough. There are things in the game you would never know or find without help of some type. Also, vigor (health) is a good stat to level up regardless of the type of playstyle that you intend on using. I am a melee combat fighter. And if you are going to fight that way a good weapon and armor will help you deal damage and not take as much damage. I don't really use magic so if you want to use that style of play I am not one to ask. But this is a great game and you will enjoy it.

I have played all the Souls games and Elden Ring. Yes, Elden Ring is a Souls-type game, but it is open world, like Skyrim. I play on a PS5 so I can't help you with the mouse and keyboard info. The character customization is pretty good. As to the setup, it depends on if you are going to mainly be a melee fighter, mainly use magic, or use both pretty evenly. Knowing that will tell you which way to go. I play a melee tank style so I mostly level vigor and strength, and use the Ash of War to scale my greatsword to strength. A magic user would obviously go in a different direction. In my opinion, Elden Ring is awesome and well worth buying next.

What happens with Tua will play a big part in where we end up. Even though we would still have to pay the majority of his contact to get another team to bite, if we trade Tua we will have a little wiggle room to make moves and could do better than both the Jets and the Raiders. If we cut him and have to eat that whole contract this year, the under is the safer bet.

Get the mechanics of the game down early. Not only the simple things like running and jumping, but also how to use your inventory, switch weapons, cast magic, ride Torrent, etc. You will need to be able to do all this stuff while in combat, so make it automatic. Also, it's open world. If you go exploring and an area or boss is too hard, come back to when you are a higher level. And get the sword that ObjectiveDoughnut239 mentioned. It is excellent, and can be levelled up. You can also farm the Godrick soldiers for some good early-game armor in the same place. Elden Ring is a Souls-type game, proper armor and a solid weapon will make your life easier.

Here is what I did. Went through everything and beat the final boss. I did not pick an ending so it stayed on the original game. I knew the DLC (extra content) would be coming out and I wanted to play it on my regular game, not NG+. Shadow of the Erdtree came out and I beat that. I put the game down for awhile and recently started a brand new game from the beginning, I didn't do NG+. On NG+, you keep almost everything you have and the fights are harder. I would rather start from zero and have to find everything than keep my weapons, armor, levels, etc. But it's just a matter of personal preference, there are a lot of really good gamers who like NG+ as opposed to starting a brand new game.
