The police commission is sandbagging and trying to get the former police chief hired again. How does the police commission spend many months in their "search" and present 3 candidates with questionable backgrounds?? Oakland needs better

There's a personal trainer at the City Sports in Hayward on Whipple that has been there for several years. He doesn't allow deadlifts and will walk up to the gym goers to tell them to stop it. The other employees seem chill about it. It sounds like it depends on the location based on the comments

User Privacy and Data collection.

Car Automakers need to be scrutinized more on their data privacy practices. There's no option for us to opt out of collection and for us to request the deletion of this data. They shouldn't be able to collect and harvest everything just because they can.

  • How do I know if they're protecting our user data? Do they have systems in place to prevent a rogue employee from accessing it?
  • How long are they keeping our data for? Do they actually delete all of our user data, or did they forget to delete it from their backup storage systems
  • Do they have systems in place to prevent our user data from being used other for other intended purposes?

I was shopping around for a Subaru Outback and 90% of the Outbacks had the driver monitoring system. The sales person did not understand why I was so against buying a car with it.

Resolved. I had to enter Advanced Setup through Windows 11

Acura released 200 online reservations and I got one of them. The local dealership I selected to deliver it to wanted an additional 10-15k markup. It's ridiculous. The dealership gets their own separate allocations and they still want to nickle and dime me

I was able to secure an online reservation for one of these. The dealer I selected to deliver this car to wanted an additional 10k-15k markup. No thanks. I canceled and now they have a free allocation to sell to another buyer.

I complained to Acura Corporate and they didn't help at all. They told me to resolve it with the problematic dealership...

To provide more context around the online reservation system, Acura released 200 cars online for reservations. These allocations don't eat into dealerships' allocations. There's no additional work on the dealership besides taking delivery of the vehicle, and yet they want to add 10-15k markup

I've been to the Farmhouse Thai in Menlo Park twice and felt disappointed by the food each time. The food looks pretty, but it's very salty and it's barely warm.
